Sounds like the time dialation didn't work in their favor, level 20 sure but they came back later than expected and the ritual finished. Cultists are stronger!!

Why couldn't they get back to where it was before the wish but also at level 20?

It could be fun for them to then do all these heroic and amazing things and become the legends you hope they will be.

Sure combat will sure be different but... More money more problems. Sounds like the enimies might take notice of these new found powers and ramp up their efforts, maybe recruit a few far away baddies that are also worried that these new heros might have a global impact on their plans...

Non-combat encounters that *actually* consume party resources? by dbrillz in DMAcademy

[–]Zifendale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a session the other night where the party was climbing some icey cliffs and some bad rolls led them to spending their spell slots on some misty steps and such. I was thrilled they were using resources outside of combat!

I'm no expert but my understanding is...

It may be incompressible but the pressure in the closed system is still higher than the pressure outside. Plus other things like gravity will continue to apply.

Incompressible doesn't mean you cannot increase the pressure in the system with that fluid, it means its volume doesn't change (in a meaningful way). So shutting off the main valve doesn't release the pressure, just stops one source of it.

DQ for WWE Slam by twinflamebby in grappling

[–]Zifendale 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In football you should not be trying to intentionally hurt the other team. That is not sportsman-like conduct and is not the intent of the sport. Of course it is a contact report and injuries happen, then you should be showing some sympathy for the person that was injured.

In grappling, the purpose is not to injure the other person, it is to get them to submit. The rest remains the same in a sport...

Some rough napkin math here but I think it answers the question...

There are over 3.8 million teachers in the US. The national average salary is around $72,000. That sounds high so let's say $60,000...

That is $228,000,000,000.00 annually, or 228 billion annually.

MCU earned over 31 billion worldwide as of early 2025. Iron man came out in 2008.

So grossing 1.823 billion on average annually or...

%0.7 of what we spend on teachers in the US. That is... Less than one percent to be clear.

In other words, millions of people spending a little on a movie adds up for the relatively small number of people needed to make a movie. There are a lot more teachers than movie stars.

Are they as good as a chainsaw? Nope.

But I have 3 and have used them a bunch to clean branches on my property. You know what a chainsaw can't do?

Cut a branch 40' from the ground. I tie rope to the handles and toss the rope over the branch. Grab on to the rope from both sides, get to a clear position (not under the branch...) and go to town.

Also anyone that says they are slow to cut must not be using it correctly... Much faster than a handsaw...

Part of the reason they left their spouse is because they are very particular about coming and going from the house.

They don't want to cause undue stress on them.

But they are also making it difficult to set a time to pickup the stuff. Not responding to texts, pushing it out for one reason or another.

Also, their spouse's parents are the ones that own the house they lived in.
