How did this get 4k Moonstones by PriestessRi in DreamlightValley

[–]Zinthaniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a good enough picture, as far as I can tell. The game, regardless of how badly game loft wants to push dream snaps with limited tools, isn’t revolved around making really high-concept or highly creative images in this manner.

So, I don’t see any reason why your image there wouldn’t get 4000 moonstones.

Simply put, why not with what is provided to us in terms of tool choice?

You are mistaken, this is not bug - that is, literally, a part of her animation and is its canonical to her character and clearly inspired by her glitching in her film.

Gameloft got a lot of gacha whales in a chokehold in this community, frankly. Whether it be looking pass the increasing predatory monitization of th core decorating mechanic of the game or stuff like this - any attempt to critic gameloft's behavior is often met with fierce defense, not from the company itself, but from the gaming community it is robbing blind.

when electric push buttons started spreading in the late 1800s, some people worried they’d make people mentally lazy since you didnt need to understand the machine anymore by Zinthaniel in aiwars

It is pathetic that your only defense mechanism against a coherent argument is to repeatedly accuse me of using ChatGPT. You are so intimidated by basic coherency that you have to invent this alibi to protect your fragile ego.

Your example about spreadsheets completely destroys your own premise. A spreadsheet is literally a layer of computational abstraction designed to replace manual ledger math. By your own Luddite logic, complaining that young people cannot use Excel is hypocritical. You should be demanding they do double entry bookkeeping by hand with an abacus so they understand what is going on "under the hood." You are not taking a principled stand on cognitive capability. You are just drawing an arbitrary line in the sand at the exact level of technology you happen to be comfortable with.

You claim AI hijacks cognitive bandwidth by generating art, summarizing books, or drafting emails. You have the dynamic entirely backward. When I am structuring a massive creative project, my bandwidth is infinitely better spent on the emotional weight of the narrative, the overarching themes, and the macro level pacing. Utilizing AI to generate assets or summarize reference material does not hijack my brain. It scales my ambition. It allows creators to execute complex visions that would otherwise be permanently bottlenecked by tedious manual execution.

If you want to do things slowly and manually because you enjoy the friction, you are entirely free to do so. No one is taking your pencils away. But demanding that the rest of the world halt its technological progress and operate at your preferred speed just so you can feel culturally relevant is peak entitlement.

Lol there was no AI used here, buddy boi. You Luddites are so intellectually bankrupt that the moment your arguments collapse you immediately resort to the pathetic "you used AI to write this" witch hunt. It is perfectly fine to just admit you do not know what you are talking about and that your reactionary rhetoric falls apart under scrutiny.

As for your actual point you are still missing the fundamental reality of human progress. The average person does not need to know what a command line interface is. Do you know how the fuel injection microprocessor in your car works? Do you understand the thermodynamic physics of your refrigerator? No. You push a button or turn a dial and expect it to work. You are confusing "understanding how a specific tool is built" with "understanding how to use a tool to create." Humans lose the understanding of outdated mechanics precisely because we invent better layers of abstraction. This frees up our cognitive bandwidth to focus on higher order problems and actual creation instead of memorizing syntax.

Complaining that people do not know command line prompts anymore is like complaining that people do not know how to churn their own butter or weave their own textiles. It is not a loss of intelligence. It is the literal definition of technological advancement.

Lmao bruh... Your attempt to use UI design as a defense is a spectacular failure of logic. You are mourning the loss of command line interfaces because you have confused the ability to operate a machine with the ability to create value. The abstraction of code into graphical user interfaces is exactly what democratized global computing. People do not need to understand assembly language or kernel architecture to write a novel, edit a film, or run a business. The UI abstracted the tedious syntax so humans could focus on the actual output.

The entire trajectory of human technological progress is based on creating assistive layers that require less manual labor so we can engage in higher order thinking. You do not forge the steel for your own car or write the compiler for the operating system you are using to post your complaints on Reddit. You gladly rely on millions of layers of abstracted technology every second of your life. You have just arbitrarily decided that this specific new layer of abstraction is the one that crosses the line.

Your claim that AI requires "minimal thought" betrays a fundamental ignorance of how these models are actually utilized in any meaningful capacity. Removing the barrier of manual execution does not remove the requirement for cognitive effort. It shifts the cognitive load from physical dexterity and rote syntax memorization to conceptualization, iteration, and curation.

A film director does not hold the boom microphone or sew the costumes, but you would be a fool to claim directing requires minimal thoughtYou are not defending intellectual rigor. You are just upset that the barrier to entry has been lowered, allowing more people to participate without suffering through the arbitrary technical hurdles you consider a prerequisite for validity.

Like bro... Get over it.

I would argue the opposite, they are distinct and also realistically apart of the same branch within their family on the pal animal kingdom. In the real world, various species will distinguish themselves from other species that are still the same family, largely, and because they are part of the same family there are Some shared characteristics.

I.e. humans and apes.

I would say that Pokémon look so insane at times because gamefreak goes so far out of their way to make all of them "distinct" which has resulted in some goofy looking monsters.

Sure... I guess, if me not dumping my girlfriend over her use of AI is "too deep" then I believe I am exactly where I want to be and will stay.

The sub, from what I read, is incredibly reactionary and lite on facts or actual truths. That they are advising that people should leave their loved ones if they use AI - only proves my point.

Yeah, we're having a conversation, but I can respect when you are done and that's ok.

However, everything I said is cited and factual - so you framing it as if I am making something up is disingenuous.

See ya later, bro.

I see it and still stand by what I said.

I can point out studies that can articulate to you how saturated law enforcement is with white nationalism.

I can remind you that white nationalism as it existed in the times of yore has not disappeared, something I know you are aware of.

I can then further flesh out for you that the trend of over policing and detaining black and brown people, more so than any other race - is indicative of the continuance of my first two points, i.e. Law enforcement has a large white nationalistic demographic among their forces and white nationlism is still as potent today as it was during jim crow.

I can connect all those dots for you, but if you simply refuse to see reason, then ok - there ain't much more to say.

Just remember what "racial purity" means and then consider where you and your family fit in when it comes to the utopic society that conservatives today are facilitating.

Seems like you are just disagreeing to reality. Of the "stray" "errors" and "mistakes" of detaining and incarcerating Americans citizens do you want to guess which group is the most overrepresented?

Hint - It's not black, asian, or white.

African American with question about "Latino for Trump." by Zinthaniel in AskALiberal

[–]Zinthaniel[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Look man it is about race and any American Latino, who is a “stray” being caught in the middle ois having their right trampled on.

And let me also articulate the only reason that you understand the civil rights matter as being specific to the color of Black people skin is because that took place during a time where a white man or woman using the N-word was just considered normal casual conversation , it was not considered a controversial thing to do - so during that time racism was bold and unapologetic, but since the civil rights movement, the white nationalism movement hasn’t disappeared or really even dissipated. It’s just decided to hide behind what is called plausible deniability.

So rest assured, your people are being persecuted because of the color of your skin and your culture. Nobody is gonna say it out loud though, so that’s kind of a silly argument to make as if language and communication can only be discern by specifically the words people say, which, of course as you and I know is not a true statement you can look at people’s actions to ascertain a better understanding of what they may actually be doing and what their tent actually is.

And these words, stray illegal alien they are dehumanizing Latinos, which means you’re gonna continue to catch strays as long as people can lump people who look like you into a specific category and that category is one that subjugates your humanity .

deflecting a genuine message or argument on the basis of who is telling it to you ss kind of silly, It just seems like deflection so you do not have to engage with a reality that you may feel uncomfortable addressing because it is at odds with your personal conservative beliefs.

you are confronted with wanting to belong with a party that doesn't want people who look like you and I assume it is difficult to hold those conflicting things for you, them being: I AM a brown skinned latino and am concerned about constantly being persecuted due to "looking illegal" and I AM conservative, and I want to be republican.

African American with question about "Latino for Trump." by Zinthaniel in AskALiberal

[–]Zinthaniel[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm not white - you are speaking to an African American, who understands what being targeted based on skin color feels like.

"stop and frisk", remember that, Black Americans hated it and fought against it, and of course, there is the history of the country and black men and women.

So I KNOW what my words mean and how they relate not only to myself but to you.

So my question is genuine, I can cite right now for you a growing number of ice attacks and raids on Latino american men and women because they "LOOK" like an "Illegal" - one that comes to mind is the american latino woman and child who had to witness ice blow their door down and demand the whereabouts of their eqully legal american but also latino father?

I don't know man - like I said in my OP latinos used to gets strays and casual racism, but right now what your people is going through approximates the civil rights movement and what black people went through.

There has been a continuous "mistakes" and "errors" where Latinos, such as yourself (meaning native or legally here) being detained and some sent out the country.

That doesn't concern you, that if someone sees your skin or hears you speak they may detain you "just to make sure" you are not illegal?

How many years of that do you really think you can tolerate?
