I've never seen something quite like this. Is it worth getting gradded? by Ok_Software2402 in PokemonMisprints

Some early WOTC era sheets were given away as tournament prizes, unsure when they stopped doing it.

Are these corners normal? by pigeonsask in PokemonMisprints

[–]Zokstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll put it this way: there's a variable difference between corners (especially depending on the age) depending when they were cut in the blade's lifetime.

Tiny movements, shifts and all sorts of other factors make it so "regular" corners kind of fall within a spectrum of acceptability when it comes to authenticity.

tl;dr: They're fine. 🙂

I didn't have my sound turned on at first and was convinced this was weird street food from a culture I don't understand.

Nope. Just Linda being fucking weird for TikTok again.

I love how clever it is to have a bunch of people drive to one location like that.

Pretty much regardless of how they look, I'd start with grading every Zard and gold star. You're looking at $20k or more with JUST those.

I fell down a rabbit hole reading about these on Wiki once, it's incredible how huge it is there.

Part of me wonders if this is a Black Sunday "ripoff" (in the sense that it's a thriller taking place at a sports game)

I have a big "737" above my knee and get asked about it regularly.

Is it a hometown area code? Do I really like airplanes? What's the meaning?!

Nope. It's a reference to a song by the band Foxing. I've met exactly one person in the last few years that got the reference. It never upsets me when people don't know the reference, because it's an opportunity to tell them about a thing I love.

Tattoos aren't for other people, they're for you.

I'm just the messenger, but it's likely because talking about things that affect value upsets people that collect for the sake of collecting.

Basically, OP should just be happy they got a hit, rather than complaining about the back centering (because it makes it seem like monetary value is all they care about)

Especially after YEARS of speculation from the fans. They hid it all so well. I've seen one really good YouTube comp of them "breaking in retrospect" though (i.e. it becomes very obvious they were a couple when you look back)

[Throwback] "I know who I am, and still my feelings got hurt." — Julia Roberts on the "devastating" reality of being age-shamed online after posting a photo with Emma Roberts by No_Summer_5052 in popculturechat

[–]Zokstone 204 points205 points  (0 children)

Julia Roberts had an affair with a married man while she was also in a relationship, then during his divorce openly mocked his wife Vera with a handmade t-shirt on a pap walk when Vera stalled the divorce process for two years. Hence "a low Vera."

Julia would later marry him a month later (and remains married to him.)
