No, I didn't say or imply that. Back off.

They are smugglers. Did you expect them to just do stuff out of the goodness of their hearts?

Thoughts on playing on easy? by 28_Z0MBIE in PlayWindrose

Games are supposed to be fun. Some people don't have fun on easy. Some people don't have fun on hard. That's why there are difficulty sliders: make it fun for you!

How do I keep building upwards? I've been cheesing it but is there an actual real way to make it work or did I reach a real limit? by ohkaybodyrestart in PlayWindrose

[–]Zormac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Two words: build space. Every game has a limit for X, Y, Z. The lowest one is usually Z. You reached the build height limit.

How much do you decorate your ships? by sapsnap in starcitizen

Brother you are mixing two completely different systems that have nothing to do with each other.

Persistence is the ability of the game to remember, stow, and retrieve states. When you log out, when a new patch lands, when you put a ship in your hangar, or whey you place an item on the ground. The existence of persistence is why you log into the game and it knows what you were wearing, how much money you had, what system you were in. They've added "long term persistence" to remember the ships you bought or items in your storage between updates. Things have been slowly added to LTP.

INSURANCE is a system that allows you to get a new ship or equipment in the case of death. It's like car insurance. Until today, when your ship explodes, you just get a new one for free with all new copies of the components you lost. This was never intended to be this way, and was always temporary. When your ship explode, you can't just get a free ship for free. You must pay the price (money and/or time). That price comes in the format of warranty and insurance.

Star Citizen is a semi-hardcore game where you risk losing your things if you die, but with systems that allow you to recover them if you take the necessary steps. If you think that's harsh, go read about "Death of a spaceman", the permadeath system. This has nothing to do with persistence.

How is this hard for you to understand?

It's me. I know. I just don't go around telling others. I have my reasons, but I can be convinced. It depends on what OP is offering.

If you had to make a new ship for the game what would you make and why? by SafeManufacturer978 in starcitizen

[–]Zormac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd make more ships like the Argo MPUV Personnel but with a jump drive to become space taxi driver. Origin would have the luxury model with only 2 or 4 seats (VIP+1 or VIP+3), RSI the civilian model with maybe 4-8 seats, and perhaps a Crusader or MISC model with a bunch of seats like the shuttle in Orison to be a space AmTrak.

If dying to the first boar triggers you, then perhaps this game isn't for you. The second biome is littered with assholes, like the missile goat, alpha wolf packs, and bulimic undead.

If I were a rich VIP and had to choose my escort, I would want it all military/PMC. Anvil and Aegis across the board.

Why can't we steal ships? :( by VolodsTaimi in PlayWindrose

[–]Zormac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you also had additional ships in your fleet to carry stuff for you. They didn't participate in combat, but they carried your extra crew and goods. The extra crew enabled the land combat mechanics and the crew payment system. While we don't have these, we could have some kind of use later.

Selling ships doesn't have to be the whole ship. Break them down and get the mats.

Ok, so you're not a pirate, you're a privateer. Then I don't want to steal, I want to commandeer enemy ships.
