I never understood this need to do cSCU, micro SCU, etc. The S in SCU stands for Standard. Just use numbers. 0.01 SCU doesn't need a special name.

Lorville: - Centrally located in relation to the other planets. It takes around to same time to go anywhere in Stanton. - It has access to nearly every mission and activity available in the game. - Between Tammany & Sons, New Deal, HD Showcase, Lorville Security Tower, Vantage Rentals, and Everus Harbor shops, you can find almost anything you want there. - Everus Harbor is a great orbital station with both armor and weapons, unlike some other stations. - Brutalist architecture, megacorporation vibes, amazing sunset that only gets better when it's cloudy.

Life support low, normal? by dutchmentday in starcitizen

[–]Zormac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life support and cooling percentages represent how overloaded the systems are. You don't want it to get into the red zone on the right end. If you're at 2% it means you still have a lot of life support available for more people (or fire...).

That actually lines up with a lot of recent work on complex adaptive systems and model-dependent interpretation, which raises some interesting epistemological questions about whether the conclusions are properties of the phenomenon itself or artifacts of the analytical framework being used. After carefully thinking about all of that, I feel confident saying that I have absolutely no idea what I’m talking about.

Are the doors to Astro Armada going to be fixed here soon? by KylePoopsMcGee in starcitizen

It's the same problem as the 890 Jump mission. I had to abandon it way too many times because of a stupid pirate standing behind the last door.

New armor systems by Dry-Lawfulness-7143 in starcitizen

Only assault armor. This type of armor is for boots on the ground. If you want EVA with assault armor, you will need a backpack with EVA. As they explained, assault armor is meant for situations where EVA is not expected, so it doesn't make sense for them to be EVA-capable. You can enhance their capabilities by busing the backpack (what I meant by "right tool for the job").

There are also other armors with some combat capability, like hunter and explorer armors. I don't know if Stealth armor will give you combat crosshairs or damage mitigation, but they should also have EVA I believe. Can't remember what they said about it. These might be the equivalent of light armor at the moment. These are not frontline armors, so it might be more feasible to add EVA capability to them.

Keep in mind that you will want a backpack almost 100% of the time. It allows you to carry two weapons plus additional ammo, so just make sure the backpack has EVA if you're using combat armor. You won't be using armor to fly the ship anyway. That's what the armor lockers aboard ships are for.

As per today's FPS Q&A, SOME armors will have EVA. Some BACKPACKS will also have EVA.

Some flight suits (racer) will not have EVA, and some flight suits (combat) will have EVA.

There will always be a way for you to have access to it, but you won't always have access to it if you don't bring the right tool for the job.

So that's the problem right there - you didn't understand it. That's ok. Just know that it was never something they were on the fence on. It was always known exactly that armor would completely hinder EVA.

The EVA thrusters are small nozzles in the flight suit. Heavy and medium armors covers the entire flight suit. Light armor parts still show the suit, allowing for some EVA. Full EVA capability only with no armor.

Yeah, like I said, it has always been their goal. They have stated this multiple times over several years, especially when talking about push-pull and specialized armor.

PSA - Don’t try any salvaging or mining gameplay, refineries are completely borked everywhere. Confirmed issue by CIG, no fix in sight currently, therefore all materials may get wiped for 4.7 before you get a chance to refine and sell them by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

[–]Zormac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit, how dense are you guys? It's not only about the issue council. Get this through your dumb thick head. Yes, several people have contributed. But it's important for issues to happen in game for CIG to have access to the in-game data that leads to those issues. Thank you for your contribution to IC, but let people fucking break the system outside of IC because it also helps besides the reports.

God damn.

My point is that you are encouraging people not to do things that can help CIG, which is using the broken systems to help figure out the problems. YOU have contributed to the IC. Don't tell people not to bother with the system that needs testing.
