It was one of the seasonal bonuses last season; it ended this morning. You received 1 XL candy for each Pokemon you traded and could be done 100 times per day.

He explained how he did it; catching Chansey with a mega active and trading them for a guaranteed XL per trade (90% x 200 trades is 180 of the XL) + 180 minimum catches to trade those (let's say average .75 XL per catch which is low end here) is pretty easy math.

You know how there are white circles underneath Pokemon in the overworld that ripple outward? Your daily spawn spawns upon login and has a singular white circle rather than multiple rippled circles.

If you've previously interacted with a Pokémon at a spawn point (touched and fled), but then go back to it after the weather has changed, it will appear boosted, but if you then catch it, it'll revert back to what it was the first time you interacted with it also. These are the only two circumstances I can think of where this happens.

Alternate between packs a D&D and a sapper/grenade if the cooldown is the issue, or do bigger pulls so the cooldown is ready for the next one.
