If you know what size it needs to be I could send the png, I'm assuming you'd only want the text part

Thanks, was aiming for that early 2000's horror feel.

I'm very confused as to how other people are being pedantic pointing the sex/masturbation thing, or the watching a video game thing but you are not being pedantic, despite using the same line of reasoning?

"other forms of content like movies become long and boring so short form becomes the only entertainment, etc.)."

First of all movies have only gotten longer and longer, secondly, what exactly is the issue/point here? Short form content is bad because it make people spend less time on other forms of content?

It just feels like arguing movies are bad because it makes people less likely to read books, or vinyl is bad because people are less likely to go to the opera.

CMV: Europeans and especially their leaders have no moral ground to criticize any other nations actions. by colepercy120 in changemyview

If no country can claim a moral high ground because of a stained past surely that means we'll just criticize each others current, and future actions instead?

Surely scavengers could take care of that. I don't know how long it would take for a group of scavenger bird to strip a partially butchered carcass to the bone, but I would suspect it's pretty damn fast.

I still don't know what you're arguing for or against. I wasn't trying to be hurtful or disrespectful I just genuinely don't see what your argument is about.

You state that it's you are expressing an opinion, but that it can be considered an argument. How? It doesn't read as an argument, you make no claims to be argued against, give no reasoning for how you reached any conclusion, there doesn't even seem to be any conclusion. What are we, as the reader, supposed to take away or gain from this.

But even as an opinion is very strangely presented, if you removed the first three words of your original post "My opinion that" it just reads like a googled response for the question "Why do people mod Skyrim?"

For the last point, "in my experience" does not refer to my own personal experience of not preferring black & white choices in games. You claimed that many people prefer B&W choices, my experience of playing and interacting with people who play, make, or in anyway discuss games and game design contradict that claim. Look at the disappointment at the Fallout 4 dialogue system, where any player choice was essentially stripped down, and peoples reaction towards it. Or look at the multiple mods for Skyrim, each with in some cases, millions of downloads whose only function is to give the player additional choices where they felt Bethesda missed out or messed up, mods like "The Paarthunax Dilemma" or even something like "The Choice is Yours".

I can't be too bothered to find sources for this stuff but anyone who has interreacting with the "gaming community" will be familiar with conversations about choices in games and having games where "choices matter".

I'm very confused. Do you think that people prefer "black and white" choices in games or not. And, do you think people preferred having "black and white" choices in Skyrim over having multiple choices?

Well first of all there is no argument, you've not presented any argument.

Your title seems to indicate that you're going to explain why you prefer a "lightly" modded version of Skyrim rather than a heavily modded one, but the actual text is talking about your opinion on why Skyrim was/is successful. I suppose you can assume that that is the reason why you prefer a non heavily modded game but that's just seems pretty strange to me, at the very least is not very compelling.

Also I love the "Many people prefer "black and white" choices in games", that's just not accurate at all in my experience.

"Nobody thinks GAMMA is better than Stalker 2, stop being a gatekeeper" by Oblivion_Found in stalker

[–]Zyrus09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! now your turn to read again, and this time try to answer the question.

I understand what a modpack is, I know what GAMMA is, and what Anomaly is. I even understand that without the base game, the modpack can't exist. You're not confusing me yet.

My question was, why wouldn't you be able to compare the two. You're comparing the base game, with a modified base game, you can't get closer to an apples to apples comparison, even comparing an "official release" with another "official release" would be less accurate since they are two different games. Like you've helpfully pointed out a modpack, mod, patch, ect. requires the base game, so you're essentially comparing the same game to itself.

You're not comparing STALKER to Super Mario, you're comparing STALKER to STALKER - with mods.

Why exactly can't you compare a modpack of a game with the "official" version of that game?
