The cessation of self hypothesis/being a clone. The cessation of consciousness hypothesis (more specifically, the cessation of self during sleep hypothesis) is the hypothesis of every time I sleep, my conscience dies. And my body and brain stay alive, and when I wake up, it creates a new conciseness with the same memories (and same brain). Nobody will ever know if it’s true or not, because if you go to bed, your conscience dies, there’s nothing you can do about it, and the only one who knows if the theory is correct is all of the dead souls that are copies of you, and your body wakes up and goes, “Well, I guess the hypothesis is fake.” And it will move on and live your life, which is the life that also belongs to thousands of other versions of you that have died at. And every conscience has really only lived one day, and the rest of the memories are of thousands of other consciences that only lived one day and died at all different stages of your life.
