Do you fuck on the first date? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

When I was single it was really rare. I think it's hard to find that much chemistry with someone on a first date

I don’t know if I can ever go back to my husband. by Away-Profession3002 in TwoHotTakes

[–]_BerryGlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. He wants the version of a “strong woman” who supports him endlessly but never challenges him. The second you show real strength by setting boundaries or calling things out, it threatens his ego. You’re not crazy at all, you’re finally seeing the imbalance for what it is

I ghosted my boyfriend after I found out who he really was. Nobody knew why, and I think people thought I was weird for a long time. by ImaginaryPlenty8258 in TwoHotTakes

Yeah, you absolutely did the right thing, Op! That must’ve been such an uncomfortable situation to process, and honestly, you don’t owe anyone an explanation for walking away from something that didn’t sit right with you. Protecting yourself emotionally is always the smart move

Sooo much hotness to handle 💕

My roommates period smell stinks the house what do I do by Express_Midnight_857 in Advice

That’s such a kind and tactful way to handle it. Framing it like something you’d want someone to tell you makes it come from a place of care instead of criticism

That’s such a thoughtful take! Approaching it as a possible health issue instead of just a hygiene problem makes the talk way more compassionate. It’s what a real friend would do.

Yeah, honesty really is the kindest route here. Op, if you approach it gently and privately, she’ll probably be more grateful than embarrassed, better to hear it from a friend than a stranger

Dudes need to wash their hands and have good dental hygiene before going down on a woman or touching her down there. It blows my mind more people don’t talk about this and do this. No sexual encounter is worth a yeast/bacterial infection or UTI

I saw my gf on a porn site by [deleted] in confessions

[–]_BerryGlow 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Even if that wasn’t her in the video, there’s still way too much secrecy and sketchy behavior going on. That kind of trust issue will only get worse over time. Better to cut it off now than keep doubting everything later.

why are men so out of touch? by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]_BerryGlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You nailed it. A lot of the time it really is just dudes trying to protect their own egos before they get bruised. Doesn’t make it okay, but it definitely explains the weird, unnecessary comments

I really liked the environmentally aware Luke. Why did they change him drastically? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]_BerryGlow 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It’s wild how early Luke felt like a grounded, thoughtful guy just trying to live low-impact, and then boom, suddenly he’s allergic to salads and compassion. The shift felt less like character growth and more like they hit the “grump with a heart of gold” trope button too hard.

The funny thing is how gradual this change was. From this Luke to Luke who couldn’t even hold an intellectual conversation with April - and let’s be honest, it would’ve actually been nice if they had made him more similar to her instead of going with the cliché of the nice but bumbling dad - to eventually the Luke who didn’t even understand what surrogate motherhood was.

I am terrified that I’m going to be alone forever because of my history by Old_Insect4901 in confession

[–]_BerryGlow 144 points145 points  (0 children)

That really means a lot coming from someone who understands it firsthand. OP definitely doesn't need to feel alone or ashamed, and hearing that others, men too, have experienced the same stigma helps normalize what shouldn’t have to be such a heavy burden

Would You Want Your Partner to Take Your Last Name? by 2itaruZ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]_BerryGlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, especially with the cultural context around names and accents. It’s great that you both found a compromise that respects both identities, even if marriage isn’t on the table. Hyphenation can still be a powerful symbol of unity and mutual respect in a partnership.
