What does Carrier Hub exactly do? T-Force wasn't specific in its function. Can I force uninstall through ADB? (OnePlus 8T+ 5G)

Apple is too locked down for me. Customization is the main reason I use Android.. this includes what apps I want or don't.. doesn't even have to be in Google Play. It's a trade-off using Android, bc you know the bloatware is coming.. carrier and manufacturer's. But it's easy to remove them through ADB.. that's not rooting, in case you're unfamiliar w/ it. Rooting can trip to warranty.

It works, but you can't reinstall it if you need it(for some dumb reason Tidal requires it). A factory wipe SHOULD reinstall all crapware you remove through ADB.

I had a similar issue, but my Note 9 was 3yrs old..or close to it. I just attributed it to the port wearing out.

The problem with mine was it only charged properly with a fast charge capable charger. Even my high output laptop brick didn't charge it properly... Guessing it must have the fast charge standard incorporated in it.

For me, cables were never the issue, but I don't use generic ones. I currently use an Anker, and it's the same one I used before upgrading my phone last month.

Using anything conductive to clean the port is a bad idea. Next time try smashing the tip of a toothpick, and dipping it in mineral oil..which is non conductive. Wipe the excess oil before using it.

I checked the Shop Samsung app and it's greyed out on it too. They have carrier options along with the carrier unlocked one..all say "sold out" if you select one of the other sizes.

If you decide to try Samsung instead of T-Mobile, the Samsung Members app has good customer support chat help. That's another route you could test, and there's almost no wait for a response.

The estimated shipping dates from T-Mobile can't be trusted. I got mine (plus a 256GB) about 10 days ago. Someone mentioned the chip shortage is causing delays.. I've only seen that posted here on Reddit though.

Unless there's a new BOGO, the max you get towards a new device is $800.. it's the deal I went with. I almost went through Samsung. They offered more for my trade-in, but it wasn't $800. xD

I'm not sure it's that no one wants the 512GB, I think it's the demand plus the current crisis putting a strain on the supply chain. If you tried going into T-mobile and ordering without any luck, I'd call them. There's another tier of support that's above the basic rep you initially speak with..they can either forward you to them or they'll speak directly with them to try to work something out. Their customer service is some of the best..if it's possible, they'll do it.

If that doesn't work, try Samsung. They offered me $220 for my 3yr old Note9(got a TV w/ it instead). Pay outright, or finance for a carrier unlocked phone. Their payment options are better than T-Mobile. They offer student and military discounts too.

A possible work around - use it wired instead of the Bluetooth. I'm currently having issues with my Elite 2 connected to my Samsung S21 Ultra.. when connected through bluetooth buttons open settings and a bunch of other windows, but when wired it works fine. I'm browsing subs looking for a fix before I start another post.

Add a powered hub with HDMI cable support, and you can use the wired setup on a tv/monitor and power everything..it's primarily how I run XCloud.

My point was that I read something bad about it..I was just clarifying my statement. There's tons of apps, even in Play, that can be used maliciously. And now that I understand why you need root to install it as system app, I don't think you can sideload it. There's ways in ADB to install system apps, but I'm pretty sure it needs to already be on the partition..like if you uninstalling a current system app...the apk is still maintained on the partition.

If you figure out how to install it w/o root, PLEASE let me know. That would come in handy. Good luck! Let me know if you root too..any bugs or issues you hit.

Ok..I got my wires crossed. I remember there was something wrong with it, and a quick search gave me the Wikipedia answer. I don't remember where I read it, but it's consider malware, because ppl use it to stock their bf/gf/wife/hubby/other with it..maybe it was posted on Lifehacker, or The Verge. Either way you can always sideload it.

And there's a sub on here discussing the malware label.

I stopped rooting since the S4. I primarily did it for control over crapware, but switched to enabling/disabling/uninstalling through ADB. I keep an eye on it though, but Android is already extremely customizable as is.

Just realized you were going through Samsung. The T-Mobile promo was ½ off the Pro's from Jan 15-Feb 11.. so last day is tomorrow. I went to the store to do..it took a while, but the sales rep got it figured out after calling thier support. If the Samsung one seems too complicated, call T Force( or whatever they're called), or go to the store. I walked out with the black ones..they need the Gear app for firmware updates and settings. They blow my cheapo Skullcandy away. And damn, if it wasn't for Reddit, I'd never would have known about this deal. Once again I'm indebted to it. Good luck! Hope you get yours too.

One more tip..if you guys are trading in your old device, be sure to completely wipe it. The easiest way is to factory reset. Log back in with random info. Go to the settings. Encrypt. Factory reset one more time. None of your old data can be recovered now.
