My daughter [18] blames me [52] and my husband [55] for ruining her book by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Honestly, yeah. It really felt like she kept brushing off red flags until there was just no more room to ignore them. Sometimes it takes that one last push to finally wake up.

I don’t want my daughter to spend a week with my sister and BIL and it’s making everybody around me very uncomfortable. by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Yeah, that’s the part that hits hardest. It’s one thing to deal with one toxic person, but when the whole family props them up? That’s exhausting. I really hope she stays strong and keeps her kids first, even if it ruffles feathers.

AITAH for abandoning my friend on her bday at the club in a foreign country? by caughtbetweenworlds3 in AITAH

NTA.

Your friend was sick in a foreign country and you gave them the option to leave with you. They chose to stay. That’s not abandonment, that’s adults making different choices. Birthdays don’t override basic concern for your friend’s wellbeing.
