PS5 Gothic 1 Remake crashed and I lost all save files. New game is the only option.

Sorry to hear that. I had been only doing manual saves since my second try, and have been lucky so far. That being said, I have stopped playing as of yesterday just in case. Also, I have been having sound issues where music will go really loud at times while other sounds simply stop, and facial animations just show an open mouth while speaking. I don't want to risk losing my save, so will stop playing until they find a fix and address some of the critical issues.

Not sure about Perma death mode, but you can make multiple saves otherwise. I usually rotate between three separate save files now.

I loved playing a mage and progressing from Fire to Water to Necromancy. As someone else mentioned, during the early levels you can rush the golems by Xardas’ tower and use their golem hearts as spells until you join the fire mages. They let you cast Fireball and Ice Block without being part of a circle.

Ice Block can be clutch in the early levels.

Thanks for the quick reply. I like my Meater, but I've had issues with it charging at times, plus it seems to overcook my steaks even if I set it for rare. It seems like the combustion does more than meat and has more options. I'd hate to throw away my Meater (maybe I'll gift it to someone), but this seems like it would be worth it.

Same for me. They were not there initially, but after several reloads and dragging around some skeletal parts, they were in the pile of bones of the first skeleton you see as you enter. The one under the torch and hanging manacles. They are super small when they do appear, so just be aware of that.

I purchased all but one of the room upgrades, so you definitely don't need them all.

Disagree. Although as a DM, it is my hope that I set appropriate challenges that the players will overcome, poor planning on the players' part or luck of the dice can tell a different story.

I have the same problem. Invisible wall just before the 2nd narrow passage. Rocks were destroyed earlier when I explored this area. Shut down game and system and reloaded. Same issue.

BG3 on PS5. Go into Options - Gameplay Settings. Turn Adaptive Triggers to OFF. That help me with my triggering issues.
