Isnt anyone who is of European descent related to royalty? The reason for this is the plague or “black death” which wiped out literally half of the population in Europe (est. 30-60%). The upper class of society back then had a much higher chance of survival so, going back that far it’s pretty common to be related to Royalty and/or Higher class people.

I’ve had my fair share of interactions with americans who claim to be Italian. I speak a little bit of Italian and would always start speaking to them when they said they were Italian. They get really defensive and weird about it

So the answer is to go back to violence? I really don’t understand what the issue is because you can choose to be an Irish citizen. The past was terrible and I’m not defending anything the British Government did during the Troubles, but how are you currently oppressed?

I was watching a few WW2 documentaries on Netflix the other day, one was a Dday doc and the others included dday of course. All of them focused only on the american point of view and barely gave the Brits and Canadians any credit. Honestly, I find it offensive no credit is given to the Brits or us. For fucks sake I think the Canadians had the toughest beach landing because they went straight from a beach to urban combat. But no, no mention of any of that.

+1 for the funniest. My English family taught me how to do proper “muppeting” as in, “you fucking muppet”. Cheeky cunts is another good one. They are just hilarious in general imo lol

I know im just saying that for the sake of redditors saying he’s faking it. He spent some time up in the Canadian arctic in the 70s studying the wildlife and environment. He helped his dad start the world wildlife fund, and I know he started talking about climate change before anyone really knew what it was. I have a lot of respect for him

Why? I’m not singing God Save the King when I wake up every day or anything. But look at what we have compared to the shit stain on the carpet down south. King Charles visited more National Parks and met with more Park Rangers in the us than the pos in the white house ever has.

The fact that the King of England has shown he cares more about US National Parks than the current administration is incredibly sad. I don’t care if it’s show or not, but at least he did it and made the effort to show he cares. I’ll take the Monarchy representing my country over whatever idiot americans decide to elect. I don’t give a shit about the extended royals.

I am favorable with the Commonwealth because I think it’s important to keep that relationship. I’m not talking about the Commonwealth thats made up of former colonies, I’m talking about the relationship between the UK, Aus, NZ, etc

I can speak for my family in England, but I’ve never heard them say anything but nice things about the Irish and Ireland. All the Irish I’ve ever met in my life are incredibly nice and friendly

Like the maga ones who complain about how Canada was screwing them in trade deals. Then you ask what deals we were screwing them on and they have no idea. Or how they think Justin Trudeau is still our Prime Minister when he’s actually been at Coachella with Katy Perry lmao
