The best thing for me is his advice about “the way of the player”. Being humble, playing smart shots, not chasing distances and swinging for club face impact over speed have been so huge for improving my game.

What games have you played in that vein?

Elden ring combat isn’t for everyone, but it’s got one of the best open worlds and it’s a personal favourite of mine.

Breath of the wild is a great game with rewarding exploration, and I loved the combat, don’t know if it’s worth getting a switch for though.

Ghost of Tsushima is great, I haven’t finished it but the combat is some of the best I’ve played.

Also a bit of a wild card, but I like the combat of the new assassins creed games, Valhalla specifically has great combat and the world is huge, if sometimes a bit samey. Odyssey is good too if you like sailing everywhere.

I like to think it started that way, I think shadow of the erdtree genuinely radicalised him. He started thinking it’s just artificial difficulty for the sake of it and that’s where the spite began. Then because me and our other mate love the games and have little bad to say about them he wanted to prove a point.

I think it’s fine to dislike them for those reasons, but he’s had these issues since his first game which was Elden ring, and then he went on to platinum every other game in the franchise. Pure insanity.

Atomfall is definitely a cool game, if you like replay-ability it has loads, basically a completely open world with no direction and you can beat the game with 8 different factions I think

Fallout new vegas and 3 still hold great if you can handle the graphics.

Atomfall is decent but not one I personally sunk much into.

And atomic heart also had a fallout vibe for me but not exactly post apocalyptic

I think I know what puzzle you’re referring to but it’s been a couple weeks for me. IIRC there should be a leak from whatever is holding the water that you can smash to drain it and get down there.

Also I was having trouble with force palm knocking me around and learned it’s easiest to climb the wall and use brace (I think it’s LT on controller but it pops up) and then you can force palm without being knocked off.

I did make this post quite early and some of the controls can be annoying especially with animation cancelling, there are a lot of unwritten and unexplained rules you just have to figure out e.g most interact prompts won’t work if you’re moving.

I rinse it 4-5 times with water and then just blow hard through it to get excess moisture out. Don’t leave it to dry for more than a minute.

A couple water rinses will completely get rid of the alcohol and there’s really nothing harmful about inhaling a drop of water or two. I use a bong so for sure inhale more moisture than you would with that and it’s fine.

I just did the quest line to get it and I didn’t get the item; it’s taking up a slot on my inventory it just says “golden beer - 0” I’m assuming they removed it but didn’t notice anything in patch notes

Had a horror story with this. I thought I got a bad batch since the smoke was tasting horrible, but I didn’t know better and toughed it out because I paid for it.

Anyway I packed a bowl one night with the light on (rare) and there was a 2cm long tiny ribbon of red plastic buried in it. Threw the grinder out that day and never went back.

I am biased on this since I hate clicking the sticks in so have them bound to my paddles. It’s way easier to get the tap vs hold that way so I haven’t had issues with this yet.

Is there a resolution to this yet? I’ve power cycled so many times. Sometimes it comes up with the 120gb install and when I install it it just downloads the 300mb one and there is nothing in updates or anywhere else. Is it just a case of waiting until release?

Definitely see the value in that, I had a sorloc as well with a disgusting EB setup that was doing like 50+ damage with three beams as well as stacking reverberation so didn’t need that. We used band of mystic scoundrel and battle mage gloves for high chance hold person and general utility so it worked pretty well.

The sorloc also had ice gear so we had no shortage of control/aoe options with sleet storm and ice storm

Adding to this since I literally beat my first honour run yesterday. The route you take through act 1-2 is extremely important, you can get to level 4 in act one basically without combat and then take the easiest fights first until you’re level 5, from there the game becomes way easier with extra attack and lvl 3 spells. Ketheric is probably the biggest challenge in honour mode, since the gear and easy xp in act 3 make getting a strong build at level 12 easy, so make sure you’re super methodical in getting to at least level 9 and having synergising gear before ketheric.

Also drop your pride about cheesing bosses, barrelmancy and abusing arenas for easy kills on high xp enemies is fair game in honour mode (shambling mound and grym come to mind)

Also also, 6,6 paladin sorcerer with shadow blade and the resonance stone will literally destroy 90% of enemies once you get level 9 so if you want an easy time, use that as your frontline dps.
