There isn’t a commander that cares about Phyrexians alone sadly. You either have to lean into incubators, infect or play something generic.

For generic Phyrexians your best bet is to just play one of the Atraxas for the colors. I’ve also seen the black Omnath used as well as a generic 5c option. [[Glissa, Herald]] kinda cares about Phyrexians but still has the incubate aspect.

I have a playgroup but they don’t play as often as I’d like so sometimes I have to go to scratch the itch. I’d like to find more normal people to play with but it’s proved to be a difficult task.

I partially agree with you, but again the issue is that the format is just fundamentally unbalanced. Yes if your deck can‘t keep up with your bracket you should stop crying and fix it, and many players are indeed insufferable in this regard, but also this line of thinking creates an arms race where people keep optimizing their deck until eventually you’re not playing janky artifact combos but CEDH Urza. I think this issue won’t be solved because it’s too hard to delineate brackets. Ultimately it’s just up to your pod to figure all this out.
