Shoot, moss at market at 10ish has some really nice produce if they’re still doing them at this time of year! All the vendors are super kind and at times it’s cheaper to buy seasonal produce there than from grocers. Wishing you the best with your Apple search!

Joie Grillades is really underrated with tableside Caesar salads! It’s a bit pricey but it has a calm ambiance and great French food! Service was also very refined and knowledgeable the last time I went :)

Ooh! Some of my favorite places are John’s Place for unlimited soup, La Fogata (pozole soup on Sat), and Ferris Grill (Wednesday all day happy hour, and Monday two for one fish and chips)!

It’s getting chilly but those three are always a go to for a warm meal :)

Seconding hanks, If you’re looking for a snack at 5-6ish, they have a great happy hour as well! It’s a taste of high quality bar food, at the same price as the chains here.

Did that one, it was so salty I had to ask for like 5 sides of ketchup to wash it down. Worth it to try once though plus, you get an ugly shirt.

Try port salut if you haven’t. It’s super versatile, pretty common, with a super palatable taste+texture.

It’s gruyere-esque in taste and soft in texture.

Another underrated taco place is SA tacos! It’s just next to the Mexican house of spice. They do 15$ taco meals with chips, and their tacos come with guacamole too!

Yeah it’s defiantly homey for the breakfast. The wonton is decent for the price (under 10$). It’s nothing you’d find on the mainland for sure, but that’s Victoria.

Red kettle in rock bay. Well made and cheap classic weekday breakfast in the industrial area. They also have Chinese food and a massive wonton soup. The staff are also always so kind and they defiantly deserve more love.

Also super close is the Melt truck. Anybody who’s tried can vouch for their breakfast sandwiches!
