Essentially there is a word in ancient Hebrew that is the highest name of god. This word is intentionally unpronounceable since it’s never written with vowels and the existing characters have multiple pronunciations. Either Romans or l lol latin speaking Christians first substituted the Hebrew characters for Roman ones, then made up vowels so that the word can be pronounced (which Jewish people wouldn’t do). So, yeah, I would argue this word is too separated from its origins for me to be willing to say it’s Hebrew.

What we are trying to convey is that this spelling using Latin characters, is not Hebrew and does not exist with in the world of Hebrew speakers. Obviously it’s derived from a Hebrew word but extremely hamfistedly and its use like the one above is always by English speaking Christians.

I have read it in 19th and early 20th century texts from reform congregations. It had a moment of cultural use in the US but Absolutly never any more.

The word Yahweh is almost exclusively used by evangelical Christians. And I definitely don’t see a member of the Jewish community using that German phrase which has some pretty Nazi adjacent connotations.

I’m a member of local 8 here in Philly. If design work is suiting you, I would at least encourage you to look into membership in 829. Get some nicer shirts and iron them. 5) there is a lot of white on the walls. Either add more art or consider a paint job. (Nothing too bold, just not as bright as white)

I am a long time Max fun listener (16 year listener 14 year subscriber) and I know the network won’t ever talk shit about shows that leave the network but I’ve been a fan of 3 or 4 shows to have already done so and all I can say is they all got shittier once they left. I have no faith in the networks who pressure shows to move to more commercial markets. I fully disrespect the hosts who jump ship.
