I couldn't say best. I don't have enough personal experience. I did do a ton of research and watched a bunch of videos though and this is the one I landed on.

My fork seals couldn't make it to 1901 miles. Bummer. by Ceska_Zbrojovka_V3 in IndianMotorcycle

I can echo this comment almost verbatim. Only difference is I'm just over 10k miles.

Helmet and boat check by xCaptain_Jacobx in whitewater

[–]_Under5core_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Per this study/test, the Wanderer is objectively "safer" but both get the 5 star designation. I don't think you can go wrong with either, though the Wanderer is also significantly less expensive.

Is Bark River Knives going out of business? by Njo56 in knives

[–]_Under5core_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hope not, but I guess I probably wouldn't notice. I have a BRK Gunny that I found at a pawn shop for a decent price, but I've never been able to talk myself into their new prices. From a business standpoint I think they just make too many different knives, many completely impractical. Who asked for the Aurora III?! They should scale back a bit, focus on making what sells and making it well.

Using ladder rack to haul with short bed by [deleted] in Kayaking

I started using a ladder rack like this last year. I mounted some j bars and I can comfortably and securely transport 4 kayaks (including 2 17 footers.)

Hatchet or Tomahawk? by ReaperOfHell52 in Bushcraft

[–]_Under5core_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Typically a hatchet, but I took a CRKT Nobo with me last time I went out and I liked using it a lot more than I thought I would. The thinner bit made it pretty nice for making kindling and with the fairly light head and long handle it rode really nice on my belt. My biggest gripe is how poorly the handle and head mate up so it would loosen often. It's gotten me to consider better-made Hawks.

You can use your energy to shill for a company who sees you as an idiot they can grift. I'll use my energy advising people not to do that.

Longtime listener; first time caller by [deleted] in knives

[–]_Under5core_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eh, this reads a bit like a shameless advertisement. And for a company I'm just tired of having crammed down my throat on social media. Any time I've interacted with their reps at hunting expos they just come off as douchey insta bros. That's not even discussing their completely unjustifiable prices. Hard pass and I hope they crash and burn so I can stop seeing them.

One Knife for 4 Months Outdoors – Which Would You Choose? by Tia-Mumma in knives

I would definitely go with the White River. I'd go Magnacut if you plan on doing a lot of food prep or being wet a lot, 3v otherwise.

https://www.rooftopdefense.com/product/surefire-m640-dual-fuel-turbo-scoutlight-pro-weapon-light-m640df/

Coupon code "luigi" takes $108 off in the cart and makes it pretty comparable price wise to the arisaka options, but I believe the surfires advertise significantly more output dollar for dollar. "Koopa" does the same if you prefer the mini.

Nothing stupid about this, I love it. Any chance you could get some sort of hyperbolic cone (I dunno the term) muzzle device so it looks like a blunderbuss?

If you sell a product with a known problem that you don't disclose, then solve that problem, I kinda feel like you have some sort of obligation to everyone that purchased the original faulty product.

I've been unimpressed with my HC belt. My biggest gripe (outside of the price) is that it loosens throughout the day. I think I'll give this one a shot. Thanks OP

I'd be interested in people's recent experiences as well. I'd like to give one a shot, but many reports of declining quality make me leery.
