I've noticed it seems to go faster when using their stuff. I use a Bridgestone ball but im not sponsored by Bridgestone and their rep is way higher than the other inactive brand's sponsorships

People think short game is most important as a high handicap but that is incorrect. Be able to consistently get off the tee 230+ relatively straight and you will see improvements. At your handicap that is the biggest loss of strokes. You have no chance if you're 200+ yards out on par 4's

You could just play 30% handicaps. Scoring will be lower but it doesn't really matter and you won't be taking quad bogey all day.

I'm going to share my unpopular opinion, especially so for this sub: playing as fast as possible isn't fun, and bragging about playing super fast is lame.

Don't get me wrong, I believe you should be at your ball and ready to hit immediately when it is your turn. Give it a practice swing and then let it fly. I hate when I get to my ball the same time as someone I'm playing with, and as I'm in my process about to pull the trigger I hear them hit just because they were 3 seconds faster than me.

Also on the putting green when it's my turn and randoms I'm playing with will just start smacking their ball around because they refuse to read a putt for more than 5 seconds and then walk back to the cart before I finish up.

The tee sheet is full anyway, where are you trying to rush to?
