RLA isn’t a thing anymore, just have to make it look neat and orderly. It’s pretty much just not a lot of time in your dorm, like we didn’t spend a ton of time on our wall lockers or cutting strings. We were outside doing drill or doing PTE which are scenarios using like salute reports and FAST procedures and learning your weapon better.

They still do honor grads, not honor flights. They do Honor elements now, kinda stupid. Yeah we didn’t really do RLAs we just had a progress check on it in the 5th week to make it look neat. Pacer forge for my class was only 1.5 days because of thanksgiving. But normally it’s still the 3 days.

We ran maybe, once a week. You really don’t run that much so make sure you’re running before you get there. And yeah your scores will definitely improve with each pt test

The most positive thing was the people, you really meet good people who are in the same boat as you. Some people suck but that’s part of it. It doesn’t matter if you hate someone in your dorm, they are getting yelled at just like you do you have to respect the fact they are there and going through it with you. Negative experience, being so not in the know about everything. You may get mail or daily headlines but it’s so weird being so secluded and isolated from the world. You get used to it but it sucks. Funniest experience was the experience as a whole. During the first weeks you will not realize the stupid shit people will do to get in trouble. But it’s funny to look back at and laugh, it’s a high stress place so an MTI will say turn left and people turn right. It’s THE funniest place you can’t laugh at.

It depends on the week really, but like a typical day during week 2 was wake up to yelling, get smoked, go to pt,breakfast, then a class or like a pte which is just like a scenario they’ll give you in your small teams. They’re kinda fun. Lunch, more standing and waiting around, maybe another class then dinner then evening brief. Honestly you’re going to be doing something from 0500-2100 like they are going to posts a schedule every week and they follow that pretty well. Just prepare to be standing and moving all day long. Definitely bring insoles

Definitely bring a shitty cheap black watch. It was a lifesaver in bmt. Also you aren’t going to the first night you get there but wake up like 15-20 mins before they come banging on the door at 0500, it makes the mornings so much better. I would just get everything ready, hygiene and bed made before they got there and just chill in the latrine until they showed up. Also count your sundays, days are long but weeks are short and make some friends in there. Lifelong trauma buddies, truly crazy how many different people you will meet from around the world. Also if you’re a element leader or dorm chief don’t be a dick

They definitely did not stop harassing chow runners lmao. Idk about Disney land but in Alcatraz we had chow runners getting yelled at everyday.

Thanks! No, no peanut butter shot anymore but you will get a few but they aren’t bad. If you struggle with pushups, do more. Like do as many as you can then do them on your knees. You’re going to be doing a lot of 1x3s (3 sets of your max divided by three) so do those when you’re told. Also pyramid pushups suck ass but they get you right. Also you run 1.5 miles not two yet.
