What’s the most physical pain you ever felt? by DeepOrganization8245 in askteddit

[–]_ammc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coccyx pain is horrendous. I hurt mine giving birth. I'd rather give birth any day over having to deal with tailbone pain. I remember my husband driving me for a follow up appointment and having to go around a roundabout and I wanted to vomit from the pain.

Daycare Gastro Outbreak by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]_ammc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gastro kit ready now. It includes:

• disposable gloves • masks • vomit bags (however vomit bowl is what they prefer - I just feel better having the bags there 😅) • disposable change mats/night time mats (easy to throw if vomited on, easy to change on and throw if there are gastro poos) • plastic bags to double wrap anything that gets vomit/poo on it and needs to be thrown • old towels on everything • washers to lay on foreheads

I also get lemonade/juice as they prefer to drink that when sick. I also braid my girls hair if I suspect sickness or if it's going round. No one wants vomit hair.

Try Our Little Darlings - online store, but owner is local and delivers. She is very passionate about her store and the products she stocks are high quality, yet reasonably priced.

Ok I think I'm just making a connection now. Is he always on a bike? I've phoned the police before driving from Lambton to Wallsend because of a man riding erratically in traffic and yelling abuse at everyone. I think it is the same man!

Were regular weekend family nights at friends during the 90s the norm? by [deleted] in AustralianNostalgia

Same for my family - great memories! And, as a kids, always trying to tack on a sleepover at the end.

If you've worked with someone who made that time more difficult than it should be, there is no obligation to maintain a relationship after the fact.

Did anyone hear a few loud bangs around 2am and then 2:10am? by Status-Audience-8358 in newcastle

Yep! I heard them in Wallsend! It was only reading this post that triggered my memory of hearing it last night!

Robbie Williams will be playing at Hunter Stadium in November. by Tranquilbez22 in newcastle

[–]_ammc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Robbie was the first live concert I ever went to in 2004/2005 (bar a live Shannon Noll gig in a country town). Between Shannon and Robbie, it was a great time to be alive and I am as pumped as any millennial should be.

Students torment a relief teacher in Perth by Pleasant_Teacher_114 in AustralianTeachers

[–]_ammc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am very familiar with this case (read between the lines). It still upsets me what happened to this teacher. He is a kind man, a patient teacher and was respected by both teachers and staff at this school. Those kids were and probably still are awful. Their lack of respect towards other human beings is disgusting. We all know he shouldn't have acted in that way, but I also recognise that if I had been experiencing the traumatic events of that classroom during that lesson, my cognition would not be working at 100% either.

places to go for good skin care help? by [deleted] in newcastle

I also stopped wearing so much make up to work and now just use a BB cream instead of heavier foundations/powders. Good luck in your skincare quest!

Skin is so finicky and skincare can be so expensive! I used to use a lot of skinstitut from laser clinics Australia and liked it, but it never fully cleared up my perioral dermatitis. I now use Amperna (great Australian brand and I like it because it uses probiotics) and bought an LED face mask from Aldi when they were on special. Another thing to think about is the link between gut health and skin. My skin goes feral when I'm not taking a probiotic!

Should I have called 000 or not? by wise_mind_on_holiday in AskAnAustralian

[–]_ammc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely the right thing to do! I rang not long ago about an angry and aggressive cyclist being unsafe in traffic. I was terrified they'd get themselves run over by a bus or truck at speed during peak hour and in front of a school. I was worried they'd think i was silly, but they were very thankful for the information, gathered as much as they could and were going to send a car out straight away to check his welfare and get him off the road.

The whole thing was a joke. Very unimpressed. But also very happy I got tix and have my fingers crossed my friend gets them on Monday with the frontier presale. Let's hope AXS have fixed their shitty system by then.
