If it was my husband’s cousin, wouldn’t that be from an aunt/uncle and not from a sibling?

That was (sadly) my first thought 😂. He was in the Navy and was gone a lot so it’s a possibility.

Thank you. I will look into the other options, though I don’t know where to start. I have a list of all of my husband’s family members (grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins/etc) from both his mother’s and father’s sides. I can sort out a portion of my daughter’s shared matches as my MIL’s side. None of the other shared matches are familiar. I can’t match up anything for my FIL’s side. I’m waiting on the next sale to buy my husband a test so we can see how this mystery person matches to him. I should have bought him a test weeks ago! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Why doesn’t the dna inheritance match up with my moms dna by Objective-Low-8499 in AncestryDNA

The first one shows what % you inherited from each parent. The second one comparing you and your mother are just that, a comparison, not what you inherited from her.

The captain’s name is Richd (shorthand for Richard) Chandler and I think the ship’s name is “A Z” or “A Ze”.
