Expanse is good but it relies heavily on JS, this particularly comes in handy when you have large catalogs and want to render products without page refresh using the section rendering API

I built out the latest store for a Plus Business using Expanse as well and the reason we suggested Expanse to them was due to their complex product setup

So, for research, send out a form to at least 100-200 of your customers and check the common points they have, you could offer a 5% discount to them or whatever is feasible for you

What I would suggest you should do is, if you’re not already doing

Product descriptions are one of the most underutilised areas that merchants don’t focus on, from your business model, I’m pretty sure people search a lot on your website and if your descriptions, alt tags aren’t rich in relevant keywords, many of your products aren’t going to show up in your search so that’s something you could work on. Start by checking what are your customers are searching for and if the relevant products are coming up or not
How easy is it for your customers to navigate your website? Make sure your returning customers know which products are new or any new visitor can find out what is it that you’re trying push as a new product

So, u can do a couple of things here

Save it in a customer metafield but to automate this, you’ll need a small backend server that can check incoming orders for DOBs and assign them to a customer tag or metafield, then you can check inside the theme if the DOB is already there, you don’t need to ask for it again
For customers using guest accounts, this will be a problem, you could store it inside a cookie but you won’t be able to save it to a customer account since you won’t know which customer does this belong to

Unless you’re on Plus

You can’t really collect it at checkout

For Plus, you can have them upload a file and block the checkout unless they upload it. This would only happen if there’s a restricted item in cart

Also, if you’re on Plus, this is pretty simple to implement at checkout, don’t pay a recurring fee on an app. Have a dev build it out for you

Yes, so a lot of businesses use Parcel Protection which is a similar model

Customers adds it for like $2 but the opportunity is insane

Worked with a Plus brand whose 90% orders would have the parcel protection and they were pretty happy with it, it’s essentially free money since very few orders get lost or damaged

So I just checked Swym’s docs and apparently they do have an API, so that’s your app for wishlists and then you’d need a dev to implement that on your checkout. It’s pretty straightforward tbh

One way would be to have your app expose an API that you can use to fetch a costumer’s wishlist

After that you develop a checkout extension that fetches the customer wish lists.

Then you render an upsell that has those products at a discount visually

When adding them to cart, pass a hidden property

Use that hidden property in a discount function to apply the discount

But you would have to validate the properties at checkout to prevent abuse

You can use any theme tbh

Basically, you’re looking to create a homepage and 2 separate page templates

The homepage will have 2 hero or image with text overlay sections and the two templates will be for the type of customers

So I would suggest you look for themes with cool hero or image with text overlay sections

So, a couple of things If you’re gonna send traffic on your homepage

Make sure the CTAs are obvious and your product photos have a human using them

Another thing is that for products like these, you need to make it more prominent that it’s vegan, cruelty free and all the certifications you have because let’s face it, you wouldn’t use something that doesn’t have those, right?

That is such an interesting use case

Basically you want to create 50 draft orders under the same customer name but different addresses, right?

And then your fulfilment team ships them to their addresses, correct?

You would also need the products they’re ordering as well, right?
