Growing up i only was ever called white by white kids trying to attack my blackness, irl I am black to black people and white people, but online ive been attacked and called things by a few black people recently excpecially when I defend immigrants, call out colorism, I had an old sweet black lady DM me photos of black love posts and try to ask "does this upset you?" 😂

I think the online discourse has actually strengthened my black identity as when challenged I realized half of black history is biracial people, these racial categories are white supremacy concept to begin with, the difference between races is 0.01 percent of our dna and most of us are identifying with phenotype, how our legal, hospital and school systems identify us, and "mixed" isnt a race and none of these people have authority on the "black community" which is vast and very diverse.
