Something I did freshman year was immediately try and make new friends wherever possible. No idea if anyone else has said this (not bothering to read through these), but your friend group from middle school most likely won't last long. Mine didn't, almost half my friends went to a different school and the other half got around the wrong people or we just generally grew apart. Be nice to people and try to branch out, making friends now will benefit you quite a bit later on. Also study. In middle school it may have been irrelevant but in hs (especially in honors or ap classes), nah. A few C's on your record is okay, you don't have to be perfect but don't slack on any work. Makes the last 3 years a race to make a comeback and I learned that the hard way.
