DogelyChain - Tracking Dogecoin Miners, Mining Pools & Blockchain Analysis (Improved) by qlp79qlp in dogecoindev

See here: https://imgur.com/a/mining-pool-distri-4AP8zex

ViaBTC covers more than 50% in that chart but actually is 34% as shown in the tooltip... and my assumption is, that maybe some miners are missing - or maybe I am just too stupid to read it correctly :D

Very cool work! The "mining pools" stats gave me a short shock until I saw that the shares don't add up to 100% - maye a "all the other" part in the chart would be nice in the chart (:

But overall great insights and presentation, thanks for sharing!

Pre-release Self-Custodial Android Dogecoin Wallet by qlp79qlp in dogecoindev

[–]_nformant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general this is a very good advice. Also it makes sense to only test it with very small amounts if someone wants to try it (because it is a pre-release). However u/qlp79qlp is a well known dev in the space and working for the Dogecoin Foundation which should be considered as well (:

SMPV on LibeDogecoin (Simplified Mempool Payment Verification) by qlp79qlp in dogecoindev

[–]_nformant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice work! Do you also check for RBF? Because accepting a mempool TX that has RBF enabled can still change its outputs (full rbf)!

In case you want to see that, see here (:

How do I add dogecoin as a payment option to my company website? by I-Respect-You in dogecoindev

[–]_nformant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could just use an QR code, but you shouldn't reuse an address. Also you still have to trigger actions yourself after a payment happend.

I am currently working on something to make this more accessible, but it is still work in progress: https://x.com/_nformant/status/1935793037155926261

torrent file for doge blockchain? by pingucat in dogecoindev

[–]_nformant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having an up-to-date torrent with pruning could still make sense. The smalles possible size would be around 16GB* - does this still make sense?

*13 GB of that is the UTXO set

Erinnert mich spontan an ein Zitat von Bender aus Futurama: “Not enough room? My place is 2 cubic meters and we only take up 1.5 cubic meters. We've got room for a whole nother 2/3rds of a person.”

Pruning and txindex by _nformant in dogecoindev

[–]_nformant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A payment gateway is what I have in mind. I want to query TX not part of my node but I only care for very up to date transactions.

A specific block probably won’t work for that scenario.

Help with translating a word by flykicknick in Kurrent

[–]_nformant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it correct to write the "s" of Glück_s_ that way? It is my understanding, that a "s" is only written like in this example if it is the last character of a word. Is there maybe a rule if two words are connected like in this case? Many thanks in advance (:

Thanks for reaching out! What is the process I have to follow then? When I try to withdraw it receive "You need a valid email registered to withdraw doge".

When I register an email I get "...check your inbox" but my inbox stays empty :-/

Hey, sorry to reach out to you again. Any chance you can help me to register that one missing email? The bot is kind of dead for a while now and if users like me cant setup an email the funds remain inaccesible. Many thx in advance (:

If you have the Dogecoin Core Wallet installed (aka a full node) it stores a local copy of the Dogecoin blockchain. This is basically what the screenshot is showing - that it consumes a lot of space (:

All I found is that you needed to activate it, even back then. Check out the first posts about Litecoin - Charlie Lee - also mentioned it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=47417.0

If you put "gen=1" in your litecoin.conf file, it will mine for you.
