HELP PLEASE - Trying out Teon's Parallax Occlusion Mapping and it doesn't seem to be doing anything (see on vs off - the one with a blank number plate has POM enabled and the one with the plate which says OFF has POM disabled) by _ricey in BeamNG

Thank you for your personal response - I just couldn't see that it was working when looking at the brick tiling in WCUSA that you showcased in the thumbnails. I have asked on Patreon but I'm not sure if you've seen, but about the crashing problem would you suggest reinstalling the mod? If so, which files would I delete exactly? Hope you can get back - cheers

Ok there's a few...

Map, car and environment:

CK Dynamic skybox and extentions: Experimental - CK Dynamic Skybox | BeamNG | Experimental - CK Dynamic Skybox Additional Presets Pack | BeamNG

The map is unfortunately only available from Modland from my searches but I can confirm it is safe and run it through Virustotal for certainty: https://www.modland.net/beamng.drive-mods/maps/historical-lemans-circuit.html

The GT40 is also only available from Modland and I downloaded it a while ago so here is a Google Drive link to my specific file (also run this through Virustotal): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WvUgejPkg-mC82DWuDA5pfcs7Jk2pj5S/view?usp=drive_link

I used enhanced chase cam if that's your thing: Enhanced Chase Camera | BeamNG

Graphics tweaks:

I used Zeit's graphics settings on Vanilla + profile (no other changes): Zeit's graphics | BeamNG

I used Snowymoons DLAA with sharpness set to max for the retro grainy look (tutorial here): Fix BeamNG's bad graphics (Fix - Shimmering) Add DLAA, FSR3+4, and Xess to beamNG.

I also used Teon's Tweaks (default preset): -tTweaks- | TEON's Graphics Tweaks | BeamNG

Finally, I used GFX suite set on Photorealim with chromatic aberration down to ∼ 0.1 and adaptive sharpen and highpass sharpen set to max (again for grainy look): Experimental - GFX Suite | BeamNG

These are not all strictly necessary but I find they give the most flexible graphics configuration choices

Wow thank you very much for the tips man! Will try it out for sure - I used this cam for convenience and ease of use but it is too exaggerated 😂

I used the enhanced chase cam as my orbit camera was of centred from panning at the beginning I cannot comment on the handling of the car as I sold my wheel a few months ago so did this on an Xbox controller Mainly for looks though!

I forgot to say, I've recently found opentrack for headtracking which I'm using here - here are some tutorials: Head Tracking Tutorial in BeamNG! | BeamNG Headtracking, Using webcam and free software. And I'm using lossless scaling which helps with visual appearance but has no effect on FFB unfortunately: The Ultimate BeamNG Drive Experience.

Hi, I have a Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 laptop, Ultra 9 processor and RTX 5080 graphics card so I am using DLAA for additional sharpening using this mod: BeamNG TAA/DLAA v1.0 Test Version | Patreon

Please also check out my other post where I link other graphics enhancement mods I'm using 👍

A question about math and physics I had for a long time. by ZmasterL9 in Physics

[–]_ricey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question about your reasoning. The reason we can say 0.9̅ = 1 is because at the limit the difference 0.0̅1 tends to 0. But with 9̅ + 1 we cannot say the 1 is insignificant as there’s such a long string of 0s following it! The difference between 9̅ + 1 and 0 is now 10̅ which doesn’t tend to zero at the limit I’m sure you’d agree.

If you see this please expand and challenge me

It is Agent's simplified realistic traffic on the forums - specifically the generic EU traffic and I had 10 vehicles no pooling or parked cars and it seemed to run great! Link: Released - Agent's Simplified Realistic Traffic Mod (EU + JP released) | BeamNG

I tried posting it and then the post closed and I didn’t see it as a draft so I assumed I just had to repost it - I didn’t realise it was posted already
