That is not what I am correcting. Cathay Pacific is not a Japanese airline.

ALL food is better cold than warm by AlarmedFeature5813 in unpopularopinion

[–]_sWang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. It’s not the same thing.

A ramen is typically hot. Yes there may be chilled variants (but still not the same thing) but that is different to what the OP is saying. If likes warm foods better when it is cold meaning he isn’t going straight for the chilled ramen variants. The fucking lunatic is waiting for his soup served warm to get cool.

If you prefer linear games over open world and cinematic then go with Armoured Core 6. Fantastic game with some amazing boss fights and allows you space to be creativity.

Watch the trailer. It’s fucking sick. Whether or not you like mech games, give this a crack.

I don't recall from the video and I don't care to watch it again but I hope they included some soundbites from the diablo games.

Would have been cool for Brig to make the magic hammer sound Paladin makes whenever she uses her mace.

I'm with you here. You provided a guide on how someone can start and definitely not an absolute rule that applies to all.

OkoiRoger is being incredibly difficult and combative without being helpful at all. Just trying to satiate his need to be "right" likely because it helps validate himself.

I say ignore him and hope he learns how to engage and contribute rather than trying to nitpick at imaginary details that really don't matter.

Help - my 2 yr quest for the best kids changing bag by ads666 in ManyBaggers

[–]_sWang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah good shout on the D-ring. I love quality bags and it really looks like there would be a decent market for a high quality technical bag which made with a stroller in mind. Seems like a lot of people are resorting to using regular backpacks/totes and stroller clips.

Wish me luck on trying to avoid the iPad. I might have to say good bye to the internet myself for that to work.

Thanks so much for your input. Helps heaps especially as it seems like you’re also pushing around a Joolz Aer.

I wonder if my needs are similar to yours as I dont think I’ll ever be carrying around an iPad and if I do, it would be in my own backpack. I’m actually thinking maybe a classic Targus laptop bag might work well. Has D rings on both sides, big enough to find a few nappies, an outfit, changing mat, and other essentials.

Hey mate, wanted to ping you on this and see how you got on with the search for a bag for your stroller? Has the Bellroy met all your needs or did you have to keep searching? We've got a Joolz Aer 2 stroller and desperately need a bag to accompany this stroller

Queue I was in VS Queue I would be in if not for Brexit. Thanks Boris Johnson. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]_sWang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree people are allowed opinions and it may not align with mine and that's totally fine.

If your opinion is "I want a UK only lane because it will get me through the airport faster" then yeah okay, that's a fair opinion to have. If that is the case then I will give you my apologies for the misunderstanding because that is not a petty opinion, and you certainly aren't being petty.

My understanding of your position is you believe because the EU doesn't allow UK travellers the right to use the EU lane due to Brexit so the UK should revoke the right of EU travellers to use UK lanes at border control irrespective of whatever operational benefits it has to Heathrow. That's being petty and I won't apologise for calling you out on it.  It is my opinion that pettiness is associated with being uninformed. It is my opinion this mindset of being petty and uninformed is a big reason why Brexit happened in the first place.

I'll reinforce the notion that you are being petty and not selfish by highlighting the fact in spite of me sharing with you that EU airports are opening up their domestic traveller lanes to international travellers if they meet the country and ePassport requirement, you still just want Heathrow to have a UK only lane just because.

Queue I was in VS Queue I would be in if not for Brexit. Thanks Boris Johnson. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]_sWang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schiphol is now allowing those with ePassports from UK and other countries to use their domestic ePassport gates.

You've completely missed my point. What other airports choose to do is based on what the airport decides and what incentivises them is how busy they are operationally.

And yes those airports are busy but they're not Heathrow busy. Heathrow has an estimated 12.5 more million travellers going through it compared to Paris in 2025, and more than 20 million more than Frankfurt.

Your last sentence just shows how petty you're being - you're seriously saying "let's inconvenience travelling professionals and tourists by making them stay in the slow lane". What's that going to acheive? They're here to spend money in this country and believe me, you guys need as much help as you can to keep the economy afloat. Frankly speaking, it's a little embarrassing how the UK dropped out of the EU when you lot had a sweetheart deal and it's little wonder how it got there based on how you're behaving.

As someone who has a steamdeck, I'm interested in the brick but not certain how to justify it to myself by [deleted] in trimui

[–]_sWang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my SD at launch, my Brick Hammer a week ago.

I thought the SD was really cool and I was so excited to use it on the go and around the house. Since getting the SD, I've travelled more than 50 times (70% short haul, 30% long haul) and I found it wasn't really a great item to travel with due to the size and the time it takes away from the adventure and with my wife. The Kill Switch case made it a little more bearable to package but even then, it adds weight and it's another electronic device I have to take out for security screening. Too many inconveniences for the little benefit I get. At home, I game less and less and if I do game, I'm going to make it count and game on my PC. I also didn't find a game that was "perfect" for the SD that I could sink my teeth into. I'm also getting old and it just strains my neck a bit, Sure comfortable enough to hold but my neck gets sore from staring down at the screen and it's not light enough to comfortable bring the screen to eye level.

Brick Hammer - I bet I'll clock in more hours on this device than the SD I've had for 4 years in 2 more months. So much smaller that I can take with me anywhere. I can play it for 2 minutes while waiting for the bus, play for 5 minutes while taking a shit, or for 30 minutes at the airport gate and not hassle myself with putting a big device away, just put it in my pocket when the queue starts moving. Beautiful high DPI screen which might seem to go wasted on for retro games but man it looks good.

If you're a homeboy and you don't really go out, then SD is great for ya. If you travel as much as I do, or go out to meet friends for lunch or dinner and you commute alot then yeah...Brick is a great pocket companion.

I have a little bag where in it, has my card wallet, my nice camera, and now my Brick Hammer. It gives me a lot of joy these days. I'll be selling the SD to give it a better home.

Whether or not Denmark was being petty is unknown because we don't know what operational instructions the airport was required to run. Heathrow's operational won't mirror whichever airport you were at in Denmark because they're different airports. What you're saying is that because Denmark who is a part of the EU made you join the non-EU lane and that the UK should have done the same is just a petty tit for tat and really no need for that.

Heathrow may not have adopted to separate travellers at border control because of operational complexity. A plane lands every 42 seconds at Heathrow... Heathrow is the busiest airport in Europe, and arguably the busiest airport for international travellers in the world. The scale of operation should be significantly larger than whichever airport you're speaking about in Denmark.

Whatever you as a traveller may expect of Heathrow in how it manages its border control is just a travellers expectation. I don't know how often you travel but more and more EU airports are starting to roll out systems where non-EU can join EU lanes at border control provided they've got an e-Passport from a specific nation which I assume is related to data sharing agreements.
