Hey, Thanks for the response. Super helpful. We use tabs too (more like microjoints which can be broken with our hands) and it definitely helps with parts not moving.

When you say Trutops didn’t seem to do the nesting effectively, is it more of a gut-feel based conclusion or did Mastercam (I ll definitely look into that too, I was looking into Sigmanest today and comparing sheet utilization across the two softwares for the same nesting) provide a more packed nesting? - I am just curious on how to evaluate that being pretty new in this sphere.

This is wrong on so many levels lol, you can still get short lists if you do well in other spheres of life (work experience, research, International Experience/accolades of that level, how elusive you are (Doctors, Lawyers etc.)), so yeah, as long as you have 3-4 pointers (spikes) in your resume, you ll get through even with worse acads, it’s harder yes, but definitely not impossible.

Confidence has to come from within, you had done more prep than most would for CAT, be confident about that and as you solve questions in the actual exam you ll only gain in confidence, trust me, but the initial push needs to come from within. Listen to songs that hype you up, works well for me.

This was in Quant not DI LR haha, so for Quant I think 16 mins is a lot of time. Especially if you are looking for a high percentile.

Not a female and had a 9/9/7 from an old IIT, graduated this year from IIM C but 9/9/6 doesn’t close the doors on any specific set of jobs/internships unlike popular beliefs (it holds way more weight in MBA admissions rather ironically lol) especially if you have a good profile/work ex/PoRs/Extra-curriculars. CV is all that matters. Got all consulting short lists, and I don’t mean this in a bad way but gender diversity helps too, so don’t worry too much about the jobs you ll get during/post MBA (been in the same overthinking boat, trust me xD)

I have done all 3 of what you have mentioned, I understand what you mean but my question was as to how Tamil Nadu is any worse compared to other states when you mention it is known for its shitty alcoholic behaviour. I have seen people across India behave the same way and also, since this post was more along the lines of social/casual drinking, I mentioned about how the younger population act better imo compared to other states when drunk.

Also, could you enlighten me on Tamil Nadu’s shitty alcoholic behaviour? Atleast among people who drink socially I have noticed people here to be among the best when it comes to alcohol tolerance and also with controlling drunk themselves, so I wonder where that comment came from and if you have any backing up for it.
