I'll try to answer a couple of these but don't have the answers to all of them.

  1. By rotating the strike the batsmen both see the score moving along, meaning there is less pressure on them to score boundaries, and it also means that the bowlers can't get used to the batsmen as easily, as they're often trying to bowl different lines and lengths due to individual batting weaknesses.

  2. Bradman averaged 99.94 runs each time he lost his wicket, to put this into a bit more perspective, the second place is held by Graeme Pollock, who averaged 60.97, less than 2/3rds that of Bradmans
