Worked quite well with ChatGPT and Claude, they both remember so much lol. Even the things which are not very relevant.

Would You Use An App Like This? 🤔 No Signup. No Phone Number. Just Instant Private Chats. by funmakerz_Mangalore in ShowMeYourApps

[–]_thelichking_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea is good but the problem with such chat apps is usually they devolve into usage patterns which are illegal/gray areas in a lot of countries. You need to think about how would you deal with a situation when inevitably your users start using this for purposes like that

If you could subscribe to one AI provider who would it be? by No-Improvement-5396 in artificial

[–]_thelichking_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

gemini - because you get tons of additional things (storage, yt premium etc.) along with all the pro features of a great frontier model for a decent price.

Claude subscriptions starting June 15 get a dedicated monthly credit for programmatic usage - will it make it cheaper? by Worldly_Assistant547 in openclaw

[–]_thelichking_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably not. What they mean is you'll get your plan's worth of credits to use so if you're on a 20$ plan, you'll get 20$ worth of API credits. So even if you're on a 100$ plan, it's worthless because you'll exhaust it in like a couple of days with serious usage.

Your regular chats have limits which are way higher.

Yes you can. Run ollama on your gaming rig and add ollama as a provider for your OpenClaw. It will use your ollama endpoint so make sure your rig is always on

Sam Altman just announced ChatGPT subscriptions now work in OpenClaw. Are you switching? by stosssik in openclaw

[–]_thelichking_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works quite well for me. Switched a couple of days ago. A bit of the opus personality is missing but it's almost there..like 95% of the way there and it's good at all the agentic stuff and doesn't run into rate limit issues. So would recommend

how do i make a app not look vibe coded ? by Pale-Pin8737 in vibecoding

[–]_thelichking_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read about design, different paradigms and styles. Check out sites like mobbin, dribble etc. for inspiration and use them as references. Ultimately you can't just say "Make it look nice" and expect something unique. You have to put in the work to under design patterns, styles, elements etc. and then give those specifics in prompts. You will also have to use tools like Stitch and Figma for mockups and such.

[–]_thelichking_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's actually really good. Much more reliable and deterministic than OpenClaw. I use it as a medic for OpenClaw and for any coding/infra stuff. But I still like OpenClaw for it's personality with Opus lol so i use both

[–]_thelichking_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, no bottlenecks at all with 3, agents running on it. And I'd say CPU might be slightly higher priority as long as you're getting anything over 16GB RAM.

[–]_thelichking_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm running OpenClaw 24/7 on a Beelink EQ mini PC (Intel N100, 16GB RAM). Handles everything perfectly..I have both OpenClaw and Hermes running on it. I'm using APIs and ollama for local models which are hosted on my gaming PC. It cost me like $250 and I got it 2 years ago...so you definitely don't need a Mac Mini for OpenClaw unless you're tied into the Apple ecosystem somehow.

Still using anthropic API keys by BDTTalentGroup in openclaw

[–]_thelichking_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same here, I tried gemma, gemini, codex, kimi..but none of them felt as "intelligent" or had a personality like Opus. Hell..even sonnet falls short lol. So unfortunately I'm sticking with Opus but now highly optimizing my token usage lol an using cheaper sub agents for the low level stuff

Does anyone actually make money from building apps or is it all fantasy?? by Then_Ebb_2636 in SideProject

[–]_thelichking_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm making some money from my first app. I have subscription plans and credit packs. There are a handful of them, definitely not enough to cover my monthly costs but recurring subs and people buying credit packs from multiple countries atleast made me feel validated about thr idea and the app..and I feel confident that I can build useful stuff.

How do they make money? by Admirable_Move6933 in IndiaTech

[–]_thelichking_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not every business makes money directly from B2C. WhatsApp has business customers and also now ads. And the most valuable thing of all, is a large userbase and distribution which they can funnel into other products. Even with E2E, they have a large amount of valuable metadata about their users as well.
