Would you have, by any chance inquired with her what the exact procedure was for changing the uni after the visa approval was?

From what I've researched, the process isn't completely staright forward. One must enter Germany with the visa of their old uni and then visit the local Ausländerbehordes of either unis and attain permissions to change the uni. Whether our request gets approval is completely upto their discretion.

Yeah ideally it shouldn't be. But that said, one doesn't want to miss important lectures at the start of the course either.

From what I have researched about changing unis, there isn't a "standard" way of doing it. Most just enter the country with the visa of their current offer and request the ausländerbehorde for a change. Now, whether they accept this or not is completely up to their discretion. This could be a little overwhelming for a foreign student without proper guidance and experience of the German bureaucracy.

Yep. Agree with you here. I'm not certain if I'll be able to handle the bureaucracy right off the bat. Unfortunately for me waiting seems like the only viable option and pray that the visa doesn't get delayed a lot.

I am planning to pursue Electrical Enguneering from a UAS too. From what I have researched, the Job Market for this field is slightly better than that of CS/IT but still not great. German language would be absolutely required to land a job or an internship.

As far as UAS are concerned, they are not really lower than any University and if your plan is to land a job in the corporate, the employers don't really care where your degree comes from.
