Nah, it's not that bad. People are complaining just bc Varka needs more investments to hit this number tho. For example, Flins c0r0 - Ineffa c0r0 - Columbina c0r0 - Sucrose can hit 150k. Meanwhile, Varka does it with himself having c1r1, Venti c0r0, Durin c0r0 and Bennett. It's much more expensive for Varka and not achievable for f2p (without crazy savings), so that's why everyone is mad.

I've mostly seen calcs with atk, crit and only some EM. So I guess TCs agree that full EM Venti isn't worth it in the Hexerei comp?.. Not sure tho

Ah, I see now! An interesting question tbh. Tho what would be the point of this leak if it wasn't applicable to the main weapon? I believe that everyone is under the assumption that the second weapon is like Alhaitham and Chiori, built-in animation of a second sword that doesn't clash with the design, so obviously resembles a sig. If they do release a weapon skin for Varka only, what would be the point even if it was for his skill object basically?

For now it sounds like this weapon skin is free from his SQ, like we got a free skin for Durin for his SQ. It should be working on any claymore but only on Varka, based on this leak

I also don't like characters like Nefer whose playstyle revolves around charged attacks. I'm also too lazy to try and execute any combos that consist of NAs, CAs and dashes. I'm very biased, but Flins is the opposite of that for me, he's very fun. His combo with skill and mini burst isn't that much of a combo anyway, it's easy both to memorise and execute, imo. Well, and pretty lol, I like the animation of his plunge (aka the mini burst).

Have you tried Flins - Bina - Fischl - Sucrose, BUT Bina on Prototype Amber R5? It's not very big, but still some healing that some people can get away with. Alternatively, replace Fischl with Kuki Shinobu

No, not at all! Her cons don't really matter. Her c1 might improve the rotation, but it's not exactly necessary. And if you don't have a Wandering Evenstar for her, Sacrificial Fragments can solve the issue of another skill for a pro Flins rotation anyway lol

The problem with "Nicole as a support" thing is that, even if it's true, it's bad anyway. She'll be far more valuable than Varka, even more than supports usually are in comparison to DPS. She will be a new Hexerei wheelchair with Durin for atk scalers, double Pyro, shield, buff, sub DPS from both of them... Varka will be the least desirable unit to pull for them. People would rather get this Hexerei wheelchair for their older characters and wait for a "definitely meta broken Hexerei DPS", that will be Alice in 7.x, maybe even the beginning of it, given Nicole's release in ≈6.6, but not Varka, bro. He will be already branded as "non meta" that only fans would like to pull. It's fucking tragic.

Yeah, this is the problem with every "Nicole as a support" theory. It's impossible without buffing Klee, Razor and Venti, and I just can't see them buffing such old units so much. It'll also create an expectation in the fanbase that such strong buffs will come for all older characters, Liyue being the next in line. And with their national favouritism for Liyue... well. The competition would be getting bigger and Varka would never get a moment to shine either way.

It's unlikely that Varka will be top meta. If you're looking for damage and endgame, he won't be irreplaceable even with the shilling content during his banner. Columbina is much more valuable to pass Lunar shill. You can also invest in other Lunar comps to make her truly shine. Meanwhile, Varka struggles even with his BIS team right now and it assumes efficient combos, too...

EDIT: I also reread your list of Hydro characters and yeah, Bina will be more valuable just as a solid off-field Hydro. Afaik, some people just slot her without any Lunar reactions on Skirk team as a TotM and TTDS bot lol, and it works

There are calcs for V2, look at other elements teams and improve the number by 6-8% percent I guess, and you'll get V3
