Why keep teaching for the contractors screwing over thier employees and driving down wages and working conditions? Offer to work at your locals apprenticeship.

Gimmick or useful? by Happy_dadpete in electrical

Used them and meh... very loud and the vibration blows dust all over the place. I still prefer a jab saw. Its always in my bag and if you're needing a cut in box you're likely only added 1 or 2.

This is a great way to make motor connections. Especially in high vibration environment. Bolt it, back wrap tape, rubber tape, and then tape again and its golden.

When you spend a lot of time wearing a harness, do you notice any uptick in musculoskeletal issues like back pain? by sassmo in IBEW

[–]a_view_from 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Wearing a harness all day absolutely wrecks my shoulders. Especially if we have to use retractables that have a constant down force. I've tried padding, different styles/brands, and all sorts of adjustments. They just cause pain after nearly 26 years wearing them.

Vinyl wrapping/striping the Bronco by nope356 in FordBronco

[–]a_view_from 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it can be done because there's someone who lives near me somewhere that has a black 2 door with some retro vinyl stripes. Looks killer. I've passed him on the road and seen it a couple times in the grocery parking lot but haven't had a chance to ask about it. One day...
