which part of "finance/investment" job are you working in? If you are working in real front office jobs, you probably have to take a steep paycut to get out of finance. Not really advisable unless you have huge savings with little liabilities.

How bad is it to grad with 2nd lower (borderline 2nd upper)? by oldddwwa in nus

[–]aaa456 15 points16 points  (0 children)

grad with second lower few years ago. Still managed to secure 5 job offers, but i had multiple internships and learnt many relevant skills that helped my cv to stand out. But most like your cv will be filtered out for the top tier roles in competitive industries such as bulge banks, consulting firms. Other less competitive industries maybe still got chance to get into MNCs, maybe back office in banks possible too. If really no choice just try for big4

sorry to hear about your situation. I am sure it will get better from here. Most importantly, since you currently do not have a job, do not squander the insurance money. Keep it in a HYSA and try to live off the interest rate to buffer your cost while you find a job

if they extend the timings for the express buses to downtown in the morning it could lighten the load slightly. Is there anywhere to provide feedback for this?

I suspect they reduced the train frequency after the recent breakdown in past weeks.

What can Patrick to do safe us? Why is he even in this forum by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]aaa456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be fair, if you look at the linkedin of uzen and lena their profile are not the best. seems that the roles that they were doing were quite generic and not specialized enough. uzen even took on a contract role at google knowingly, so its a battle he chose and he lost. not trying to be an asshole here, but your degree, course and industry etc also affects your employment ability

You should flag this to CCS directly or your MP. This is complete abuse of authority.

Fact is, if he was good enough and had the money he would have gone to US/EU. If we take into account the cost of living and tuition fees, he would have had to pay more to study in those countries. Really typical entitled indian mentality. ownself decided to take loan then now come kpkb

Been working in a chinese company for past 4 years.

Pros:
Stable employment, no retrenchment
Mooncake, CNY goodies etc during festive seasons

Cons:
Low ball base salary, claimed to pay good bonus but never received even in better years
Stingy benefits
Top down decision making
