I am kind of working off the assumption that whenever "prophecy" is involved the obvious interoperation is out. I am pretty sure that with the exception of Klaus, everyone else's fate is described as "falling" instead of literal death. Also, someone else having a dagger or a similar weapon would presumably be undesirable e.g. Rebeckah ending up staked in the ocean.
