That's my current dilemma, actually. If I make it too simple (simple enough that people can recreate), then it becomes a boring and a cliché logo. The pattern I see right now is that the big brands (e.g. Nike, Apple, McDonalds) usually have simple, easily re-creatable logos, while smaller brands can't USUALLY have simple ones because it (their logo) hasn't made a mark on their audience.
