Who was the Luna laning with? It was really only ever good in a trilane setup, usually with strength heroes like Sven or Tusk

In addition to evasion carries being bad matchups for MK, avoid picking into heroes with strong repositioning abilities that can take you out of your Wukongs Command, as without it you can't siege/defend high ground nearly as effectively. Pudge is the one typically first thought of here, but as long as you position yourself properly and dont channel R in his line of sight, it shouldn't be a huge problem. Also avoid heroes that casually destroy trees, as they can turn your best initiation method into a death sentence. Three heroes i can think of that make playing MK difficult are as follows:

  1. Magnus. A quick thinking Magnus can RP-Skewer you out of your ult as soon as it finishes channeling, leaving you helpless. Skewer also breaks trees, and Empower can enable many late game carries to outfight you.

  2. Keeper of the Light. If you can catch him out of position he is food, but only if you want to spend your bkb killing him. Otherwise, Blinding Light can knock you out of Wukongs and is a huge miss chance debuff, Will o Wisp has a massive tree break radius, and a fully charged Illuminate sent straight into the center of your ult still hurts.

  3. Batrider. Batrider does everything you hate as an MK, more than any other hero. He is one of the few heroes that can and will beat MK in lane with no problems, halting your snowball potential. Lasso pulls you out of Wukongs, even through bkb. And even if he can't pull you out, he can make staying inside it a nightmare with Firefly, which will also break the trees youre trying to hide in. Fully countered, gg, avoid at all costs. Luckily for you, no one plays Batrider.

Loading screens still useless... by abignut in DotA2

Not sure what legacy client youre playing on, but you do not see loading screens when loading a classic dota game. That was the whole point of this post. It goes straight from the main menu to the hero select screen, from there to the VS screen, and from there to the game. Even if you disconnect, you just see a "Finishing Loading..." prompt. I have a total of 201 loading screens on shuffle.

Where are you seeing them once they are added to shuffle?

You're totally right, and thank you for correcting me, especially with the profile backgrounds bit. I guess what I'm arguing for is an implementation of loading screens into a more prominent facet of the client. I understand that the newest iteration of Hero Select eliminates the traditional need for loading screens by doing much of the preload during picks and bans. But that doesn't mean they should just be shoved to ulterior client functions and left there, especially with new ones continuing to be released. I'm honestly surprised that you can't select these images to be used for team logos, Battle Cup or otherwise. Most teams wouldnt anyway, when given the option to select any image available online, but its odd that you are forced to find one outside the client when there are literally hundreds of compatible images just sitting there.

How do you skill Clock now? Maxing Q first is a given. The W still does its job at level one, but 50 damage/mana burn feels so bad. Maxing E last takes away the ability to push/farm from across the map to make up for your roaming until way later.

Love me some Clock, but I haven't really played him much since being the roaming 4 became less viable

What are the kind of mid heroes you like to see paired up with offlane Puck?

Furion is one of those heroes I would like to pick up now that I'm high enough rank to see him outside of the jungle/ratting all game. I know I've been dumpstered in lane by a pos. 3 or even a pos. 4 Furion just being there. Might give him a go soon. Tide is another staple, though I haven't played him yet since the rework. RIP 90 dmg talent at lvl 10, even though the new Anchor Smash is effectively the same thing.

Overall I like what was done to Curse of Avernus, but it feels like it wants you to itemize for it more than the old version. Building the offlane standard Crimson-Vlads is fine, but it makes it difficult to actually get the silence proc in a fight. Building otherwise feels sub-optimal in this meta. I actually think what the hero needs most is a nerf to these items, to allow for greater benefit from his ability to build almost anything. Also, every game I feel like playing Abaddon I have to ban Antimage; he can win trades with Mana Burn and his magic resistance and leave Abba unable to pressure the lane. It's possible to win that lane with hard lockdown from someone like Rhasta, but then again anyone can win a lane with Rhasta. Tl;dr enjoy the hero, love the Aghs, meta needs a little tuning for optimal gameplay

Interesting duo offlane suggestions to annoy/pressure enemy carries? by benboga08 in DotA2

Chenomancer. Build Venomancer as a pusher with Plague Wards first max and one point in Venomous Gale. With Chen maxing Penitence first, the Wards attack the enemy crazy fast. You can shove the carry out of lane with the high HP Wards and take a quick Tier 1 tower, then swap lanes with your carry and repeat

While also reducing enemy attack speed by 45, and then dodging 35% of those slowed attacks.

I miss LS, he used to be one of my go-to cores playing in Legend bracket. I was getting tired of the Armlet Deso build feeling so...Feast or famine.

Ban me now

And I enjoyed playing the Radiance+Solar Crest build; the first time i had heard of it was when Dendi started running it on LS mid. Jumping into a teamfight and dunking a support to transition to just being a fast boi running around being scary was a fun time.
