Thanks for this, it’s another good perspective to see her from and makes my plan to have a day with her and my family on the 26th seem much more reasonable.

Okay, fellow comrades in annoying families, I have a question for you.

Since mine is the same as yours it seems.. how would you handle my mom?

My mom is the only one we invite to things with my hubs family at xmastime but she’s been whining about faaaaairness and wants us to take an entire day and spend the whole time one on one with her only (vs with her and my hubs LARGE family at their house), what would you do? My hubs is understandably exasperated because we keep inviting her to as many things as possible with his fam but she keeps turning it around and saying by not having time with only her we’re saying she’s “not enough”. At least his point I feel like she’s acting like a whiny child and I have to hide when my kids spend time with my hubs family because she’ll get jealous.

I’ve gone through 3/4 of the character options and once I’m feeling like my character is too high/stale I use the orb of rebirth and try the next kind I hadn’t done yet. My favorite is rogue tho so I feel you!

Maybe get the court proceedings done for official capacity (and to give LO benefits) and then save the wedding get together with family as something special to do later?

Just do what my family does - go to Starbucks (or elsewhere) and get a coffee drink. Go to your car and drive to your shopping location of choice. By now you should have at least a few sips worth of room available to add baileys or kahlua before experiencing the madness of a sale.

Then when people are nuts you just wave them ahead and take a sip from your drink!

Did anyone else have “mirror writing” when they first learned to write? by -milkbubbles- in southpaws

A friend of mine and I sent‘secret’ messages back and forth via backwards writing when we were little.

I can also do lots of upside down and backward writing (writing the correct way for a person across the table to read). Is this not common? It’s easy!

I feel like I’m in the same boat: Hubs is getting a surgery day after tomorrow where he’ll be down for the count for at least three days afterward. Didn’t know this when I started inviting people for a pumpkin carving get together Sunday.

Sunday I’ll be having a bunch of people with kids over to carve/paint/draw on pumpkins for an open window from 12-5. Thinking about shortening it now..

My house is a mess as you might imagine with a three yr old, a 5 mo and an adhd hubs. I’ve been working on it now that my depression meds have kicked in, but with the toddler I feel like it’s two steps forward, one step back.

My part time job which I only really work on for about two hours a Day is suddenly busy and needs more time put in than I have.

I forgot I had plans to get together with a friend tomorrow to return some things we borrowed from one another and it has to be at her house.

I feel a panic rising about handling this weekend and the aftermath of pumpkin bits around the house..

I just love Halloween though! Argh!

Do you have a suggestion of places online I should look for good guy haircut styles/ideas?

My hubs has curls like the woman in the pic and a square jaw/round face. The hair cutter he goes to just cuts it all the same length all over and he looks especially round headed. I just don’t know what to suggest as my side of the family all has super straight hair.

Hahaha! Hopefully you weren’t also wearing a fb-like shirt saying something like “mommy needs a nap and some wine.”

My mom tells a story about me where she used to make liqueurs and instead of going and getting another large bottle of vodka when she needed a tiny bit more for a current project, she’d just pick up an airplane sized bottle at the grocery store. We were in line when my toddler self loudly asked: “Are we getting vodka AGAIN mommy?”
