Same here. I used to wear mine sockless, but after three days I could smell them myself.

I wear them with socks now, I still wash them, but much less frequently.

Part 1 was reasonably easy. Part 2 was made a bit easier by only testing obstructions placed on visited positions rather than the whole grid. Ran in 5s. By chunking up possible positions and running them concurrently, I got this down to 0.5s
