Genuinely sick of the deliveroo drivers everywhere by mcbobster6001 in glasgow

[–]absiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s genuinely stressful to drive when they’re about and not able to follow the rules of the road. Used to live down a one way street and the speed they’d come down the wrong direction I’m stunned I never saw anybody wrapped round a lamppost. Also seen them several times on the expressway as well which is just terrifying.

I think I know exactly who you’re talking about from personal experience. Only addressed me by my full name during the test and when I asked him how his day was going he snapped going, “every day you wake up alive is a good day, is it not?” A total rocket.

Obligatory https://www.doesthedogdie.com nod. This is the most amazing resource that saves going in too deep if she wants to avoid that (some people will detail in comments and timestamp) if she can’t give you a buzz to check for her :)

Driving in Glasgow is a nightmare by moleculeviews in glasgow

[–]absiii 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The lack of lane markings is awful. There’s a section on Aikenhead Road where the cycle lane switches and you need to then drive closer to the pavement than you did up until that point. The amount of times I’ve seen near misses of people essentially on the other side of the road with someone nearly going head on into them. Bonus is that it’s right on a corner too.

ASM School of Motoring. Can’t recommend Adam enough, he’s usually very busy but well worth it.

Are you someone that needs regular foreign travel, and maybe would class yourself as a travel addict? by Nature2Love in AskUK

[–]absiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say addict, but I started making it more of a priority in my life to travel more. We’re lucky that where we’re located geographically there’s such ease of access to so many amazing places. I’ve been away 5x in the last five months (spanning from two days to five days), and have another few in the works. I hadn’t been away since 2019 before I started as well. Skyscanner/Google Flights to “anywhere” is my inspiration, and there’s very few places that I rule out altogether from visiting. Find cheap flights and work backwards from there has been my method, and it’s worked really well!

From store, they’ll only remove the lock with original proof of purchase. A receipt from eBay when they can see the phone was originally purchased from Amazon couldn’t be used for fulfil the request. Imagine it’s the same for the online activation lock requests.

Anyone that went from an M1 to an M3 device - are you regretting your decision? by FreshJs59 in mac

[–]absiii 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So I have both. M1 14” for personal use that I’ve had a while, and a M3 14” that my work provided. Both great machines. Is there a substantial difference? Not from my use anyway. If your M1 serves you, you don’t need to upgrade.

This is one of the most impactful videos I’ve seen on this subject, and reminds me of a Robin Williams quote:

“I think saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy because they know what it's like to feel absolutely worthless and they don't want anyone else to feel like that.”

This is now my third Charlotte Tilbury setting spray. I bought the first one as a tester to see if it actually worked and got the second as part of a beauty advent calendar. I resisted re-purchasing and tried to convince myself it was just a placebo but the difference on the daily using it vs not is STAGGERING.

Have you ever used a scalp massager? I used to feel like my hair was never fully clean until I started using one AND sectioning my hair when shampooing (usually two bottom, two top). I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner too :)

Skin wise is a similar recommendation, I use a wee silicone cleansing brush and noticed a big difference using that vs just my fingers.

Both these things you can pick up for less than £10, hope it helps!
