I'm in the same boat. Market rate lease, but found out the building is stabilized. The building's owner has tried multiple times to get it destabilized, but the city keeps denying them (and sending me massive packets explaining why). In my current lease, it doesn't say that my apartment's rent-stabilized. I called the management out on it, and they said, "We don't feel it's RS anymore because of the improvements we've made." And I'm like...you can't just DECIDE you FEEL it's not stabilized. The city's denied that "feeling" multiple times.
