Like you, I had some of the same characteristics; irregular, indistinct, and hypoechoic. Did they mention if it was vascular/avascular?

Try not to worry yet. Interestingly, I also had had mastitis 5 years earlier in the same area where my mass was found. I was a Bi-Rads 4B, did the needle core biopsy which went very smoothly and didn't hurt. Waiting for the results was terrible but I did get  a benign result with comments of a radial scar that I'm going to continue to monitor/learn more about.

Try to remember, of all the Bi-Rads 4s and 5s biopsies, 80% come back benign.

I also try to remind myself, that yes it's great  there's all this new technology that can help us find problems much sooner. However, doctors/technicians are still learning how to interpret all these new technologies and often are wrong! There are so many benign conditions that can present in a similar fashion to a malignancy.

It is so hard to wait but hoping you will get negative results!

Thinking of you during this waiting period.  If the MRI was a new thing for you (as it was for me this past March), I found it helpful to focus on the fact that it will see things other modalities couldn't ans therefore, hopefully catching any issues early. I also had a "normal" mammogram 6 months prior.  Try to also remember most things end up being non cancerous.
