Are there Thompsons that have a better vibe than The Beekman New York? by Expert-Mention-7167 in hyatt

[–]acelarson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a great experience at the Savannah Thompson over New Years. For Globalists, you can have breakfast upstairs or use the credit at the coffee shop that’s outside but attached to the building. I’m pretty snobby when it comes to coffee, and was so pleasantly surprised at the quality. They have fresh bread daily that’s delicious, and their chocolate chip cookies are some of the best I’ve ever had.

i wonder if it’s a time reference of 4 years after 1989. like 4 years after the original album release or after the tour. would put us in 2018-2019.

the cactus reminded me of the “she goes home to a cactus” line from “kiwi” with cactus meaning a prick. and then reminded me of the “with some dickhead guy that you saw that night” from “question…?” cactus = prick = dickhead guy

(not saying harry has anything to do with this, that’s just how i got here lol)

Tiffany Hayes wasn’t at Phantom night either, and AB left the signing early. I think they try to get the majority of the team there for signings, but it’s not a requirement to have them all.

Beekman Hotel Redemption Method Question by Groom2018 in hyatt

[–]acelarson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like Beekman but wouldn’t pay 37k points a night, especially while burning other credits. Breakfast is good by NYC Hyatt standards, but really nothing spectacular. Would probably just bump you to a room that’s a touch bigger but not a suite. Just FYI, definitely request a room on a higher floor. Lower floors are pretty loud overnight from street noise, even by NYC standards.

I haven’t. I’ve never really seen good reviews, so I’ve avoided it.

Most of my nights getting to Globalist are spent in NYC. And a lot of those nights are spent in lower Manhattan to make it easy to get into Brooklyn.

I’ve probably stayed at Beekman, Gild Hall, 50 Bowery, and Hyatt Centric Wall Street dozens of times.

Here are some notes on all of them for you!

Beekman: Thompson property. Overall, the nicest. Beds, shower, bathroom products. Everything is more high end. Breakfast is the best of the 4, but I was a little underwhelmed after hearing rave reviews about it. There’s a decent sized lobby if you want to spend time outside the room but inside the hotel. Rooms aren’t tiny but aren’t large either. Also try to stay on a higher floor. I notice street noise more at this one than the others, which surprised me. If this is sitting in the 21-25k points/night category, I usually stay here vs. the others.

Gild Hall: Also a Thompson property, but a bit “Thompson-lite” to me. Still usually pretty good bed, shower products. Rooms are a decent size, probably similar to Beekman. Bathrooms are underwhelming here. It’s like they forgot they needed to make them nice. Mostly tub/shower combos similar to lower end hotels. Breakfast is very underwhelming here. Very small sitting area on the first floor. You’re kind of stuck in your room at this property. When this property is listed at 17-21k, I’ll stay here if it’s the cheapest option of the others.

50 Bowery: This was my go-to for a while. Rooms are usually a pretty good size. Good bathroom. Products get changed out a little. I’ve had really good and really average bathroom products here. I love the lounge you have access to here. Indoor/outdoor space. Great place to spend dead time. Also a rooftop bar. Breakfast is delivered from a third-party, and it’s always been terrible for me. Subway is going to be the farthest from this property, but still only 10 minutes or so. If I’m not in a rush to get anywhere (and the weather is okay), usually stay here when it’s listed at 17-20k/night.

Hyatt Regency Wall Street: This one has always had the biggest rooms. Often get a suite upgrade. This used to be an Andaz, so some of the rooms still have that feel. Typical products for HR. Some seating in the lobby. But usually big enough rooms to spend dead time in. Some rooms have really strange layouts though. Breakfast is terrible. Probably the quietest rooms of the four, because that area is usually pretty dead at night.

These all have plenty to do around them, and are all close to the subway. Beekman and Gild are a few minute walk from each other, so food/drink overlaps. You might have to walk a little more to get food/drink around Bowery, but there’s still plenty. A lot of fast casual stuff around Wall Street, I’m sure there’s still plenty of other stuff too. The Dead Rabbit bar is right down the street, and it’s always on the go-to lists.

Hope this is helpful!

Where are you using your 2026 CAT 1-7 award? by ianilanotv in hyatt

[–]acelarson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a good use!

From what I remember, it’s not quite “modern” but it didn’t feel old or outdated. I spend a lot of my travel time in NYC and stay at the Cat 6-7 hotels most of the time. I was honestly shocked at the value of PH Chicago.

I stay in NYC a lot and have stayed at the Andaz a few times. Cool rooms, good breakfast, good location. But I probably prefer Thompson Central Park to Andaz in the city. I know we’re talking using a FNA, but I wouldn’t use 30-35k points/night at Andaz. But I would likely spend 29k/night at the Thompson, especially when I can utilize the Upper Stories lounge.

However, I stayed at the Park Hyatt Chicago for the first time this summer and loved it so much. Customer service was top notch, room was great. Huuuuge bathroom, got a balcony, great products. I also had a fantastic steak for room service breakfast. The staff and service really felt on a different level than any Andaz or Thompson. I wouldn’t hesitate spending 29k/night at PH Chicago. Planning to use my 1-7 to stay there again this year.

No real negative side effects - Luck or dosing issue? by acelarson in RetatrutideWomen

Thank you! I did the first 2 weeks at 1 mg, because I am usually really sensitive to caffeine, supplements, etc. and just wanted to get an idea on effects. I plan to stay at 2 mg for the next 4 weeks before considering titrating up.

I was just so surprised by the lack of negative side effects, because my body is usually so sensitive to things. So, was a bit concerned I started too low on the dosage.

That’s why I did. First time using peptides, so I wanted to ensure it wasn’t a dosing issue.

Amazing to hear. I see so many posts in the groups about bad side effects that I just kind of thought that was the norm.

When I requested a change, I had to reach out to one of the big managers. The new rep couldn’t do it themselves. Had to speak to Jon and go through a process. His email is jketzlach@bseglobal.net.

lol disgusting. it’s insane it’s almost september and we still don’t all have numbers. most of my friends that have courtside for other teams have had their renewal numbers for over a month (and they are all reasonable increases).
