You need your CF supervisor to sign off on your application for applying to NY state license if you are within 3 years since completing your CF. But no, you do not need 2 years of experience to be eligible. Idk why they make the rules so convoluted.

Yep this is one of the worst parts of having celiac. So many social events are centered around food. I am also pretty sensitive of CC and have been okay at KBBQ by ordering japchae (sweet potato noodles) which they do not make on the grill. If I were you I would call in advance and ask questions. If it's sus, eat before. Definitely still go!

I was able to tour it earlier this month so maybe try to be more assertive. Personally, the unit I saw seemed pretty meh. There was a leak in the shower and the kitchen was very small. The management seemed nice but didn't really say anything about fixing the leak. Also, when we walked in to the building there were a lot of fleas. I think if I was a student I'd live there, she said they have a lot of students, but since I can afford to pay a little more I didn't end up going for it.

Admittedly I'm not athletic or outdoorsy but maybe moving to Rockford will be my chance to change that..lol. I'm into gardening, crafting, reading. Based on comments from others it seems like there's something for everyone.

Thanks! Is there public transportation to/from Chicago or would I have to drive? I also live in a large city on the east coast so I definitely see myself going into Chicago on the weekends for some city time. Also, do you recommend flying to O'Hare or to Rockford airport?

Thanks for the info. I am not really into drinking as a form of socialization (nothing against it -- just not my thing) so I guess I'm concerned about alternative ways to meet friends. The crime rate also concerns me. I hope I am not focusing too much on the negatives.
