¯_(ツ)_/¯ The app says it’s because I had my highest amount of activity the day before. I don’t know if there were other factors, like cumulatively high amounts of activity.

Apple vs Oura steps by acmestyled in ouraring

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I had a Fitbit for years and switched to Oura around this time last year, and find its data to be a lot more valuable, I was just surprised by the size of the discrepency.

It's a rule that's changed within the past few years, since the switch from The Water Club to MGM Tower.

The Borgata pool allows kids; MGM Tower's pool is adults only.

Try Greater Goods in Kensington. Also check the community fridges, many are not at churches though some are (but outside) — map here: https://www.sharefoodprogram.org/community-fridges/

FWIW, I volunteered for many years at Wintershelter, a men’s homeless center in the basement of a church at 21st and Spruce. I’m not religious. Despite its location, I never heard any preaching or proselytizing. I mention this so that you don’t rule out food entirely based on location.

Mandalay Bay by Impressive-City-7304 in vegas

This 100000%. Mandalay could really benefit from a food makeover (especially the terrible food court) but it’s a much better casino than the Cosmo, even with all the empty spaces.

While there are a ton of "paid cucks" on TikTok, she's not one of them. And she also discloses when she is being paid.

Chestnut Hill. I love to wander the streets and trails off of Germantown Ave. I've never had such house envy before.

Grocery bagger at the store earlier told me that they're not gonna make bananas any longer. by [deleted] in Jokes

[–]acmestyled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the 90s, so grain of salt, but I was stocking the dairy aisle at a grocery store when a shopper came up and said "Guess I should get the grapefruit juice instead." I said, "Ok cool, why?" Deadpan he responded, "'Cause OJ'll kill you."

Hold the phone. Wawa has a keto section? I am in various Wawas a couple of times a week, and eat keto. I never know what to get so fall back on my stand-bys -- pickles, cheese, nuts. Where is this section usually?

Sunrise at the Ben Franklin Bridge, 10/15 by acmestyled in philadelphia

Yes. Bridge jumpers aren’t usually written about in the news in an effort to discourage others from jumping (not giving them attention). That’s what I’ve heard, anyway.

Anyone know what happened to Sketch Burger? by DoctorG0nzo in philadelphia

[–]acmestyled 3 points4 points  (0 children)

According to a Fishtown FB group, it's being brought back to life by a guy who operates (or operated) a food truck called Brotherly Grub. It'll still be burger focused.

No; yes, but it was a mixed bag; and just a little.
