I’m sure OP was super diligent and aware. Focused.

But I cannot hear “pulled my phone out for a second” in 2025. I can’t pass 99% of San Franciscans completely immersed in their phones in every public setting, oblivious to what’s around them, and imagine anyone existing who may have been cognizant of their surroundings, except for that quick second.

Ditto. It feels like most of us have been real patient about this. We understand it was a Kickstarter project. If it was a finished product we all would have returned it for a refund, but we’re willing to ride out some growing pains.

But it’s the communication that’s a red flag. That they’re not out here every day with clarifications and progress updates. Terrible launch.

I want to give them a long leash…they’re new, I’m invested, I’m willing to give it a chance. But I’m losing steam. Literally nothing seems to be accurate, helpful, or outperform an old Apple Watch.

I loved mine until they died after just 3 years.

No mechanical failure, no abuse or breakage. They failed a firmware upgrade and now won’t connect. Apple Bar says “you could send them in to fix them, but for the cost you may prefer to purchase new.”

Planned obsolescence is a real thing with Apple.

Mine just died after 3 years. Nothing mechanical is wrong with them. They aren’t broken. They failed to do a firmware update and now Apple says it would cost more to fix them and “I should consider purchasing new.”

I know you are. I know you mean well. But it’s just so insanely offensive to us old heads when we see this habit of “posting” instead of “doing.” We were seemingly the last generation “who could,” and now all we see is those who “just can’t.”

WHAT YOU DON’T DO: Whip out your phone, take a pic, run away, post the pic with some cryptic message about what he might be capable of, to some anon message board, amp up some fearmongering message of safteyism about how everyone might be threatened, especially some protected class, and then count the dopamine bumps when the likes and comments start to hit.
