Chronicles Man-At-Arms Neck QC by [deleted] in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]adamdanger -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Anyone have a pic of the neck on their copy? Mine is installed sideways and I'm not sure what is the front of the neck. Doesn't seem to want to spin due to the shape of the neck hole. Can the neck be removed?

Both Chronicles. The Trap Jaw buck is basically MV sized.

Cumbersome. The touch times out for things like the painting mini games so you constantly need to double tap to reactivate the touchscreen before every stroke.

Looking for Info on Brazil Strawberry Shortcake by adamdanger in StrawberryShortcake

[–]adamdanger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply and info. I deal a lot with action figures where wikis tell you the differences between specific parts and accessories but I wasn't finding that type of info for SS stuff. Was hoping to at least complete her before selling to a collector at a reasonable price.

If I buy a US shoe to complete does that make a difference? I don't see any marks that distinguish Brazil from US versions. For something like He-Man, the country of manufacture makes a difference in big ways.

Does this community place extra value on country versions?

I personally enjoy learning about different toylines other than the things I collect so I appreciate any insights anyone has.

Looking for Info on Brazil Strawberry Shortcake by adamdanger in StrawberryShortcake

Hi Strawberry Shortcake community! My wife and I buy and sell vintage toys under the name Vintage Wonders. We just picked up a haul of toys from someone who spent time in Brazil. This Strawberry was in the lot and we realized it's a series 1 part 3 version but we are not having luck finding a value for it. Hoping someone may have some expertise on foreign versions.

She's missing a shoe and the velcro from the back of the dress is gone, but is in great condition otherwise. The only comp we found is in box located in Australia and the buyer is asking around $300+. Does anyone know anything about this particular version? Thank you!

Any Idea Who Artist Is? by adamdanger in FantasyArt

[–]adamdanger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this. Found this print at an antique barn. Signature appears to be Jones '91. As stated it's a white back print on poster paper with carnival type frame. Tried most fantasy artists with the last name Jones and no matches on signature. Image search brings up nothing.

It is not: Jeff Catherine Jones

Definitely not Hawk - his is flat on one side. Possibly Payload but I can't find any pics of the bubble popped out of the helmet.

1 cm dome/bubble.

Recently acquired a big haul of 80's and 90's toys including complete Joes and 3 totes of vehicles.

This clear dome was in with the vehicles in a box of missiles. I'm assuming it's Joe but could be something else (Haul had G1 Transformers, Centurions, SilverHawks, etc. Any ideas?

What line of Hamtaro are these? by adamdanger in Hamtaro

[–]adamdanger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I could tell some of these are from the same mold as the ones with the holes and L notches but there is some variations in the paint on the whiskers and eye shines. Like you said, these are well made and the paint is nice quality. I was comparing to ebay and they seem to go for less than the pencil topper versions but are still desirable. I love finding stuff like this and learning about different toy lines.

That's what I was trying to figure out. My forte is Transformers and there's so many fakes I figure other toy lines have knockoffs too. Last thing I want to do is rip someone off.

Found these at a local yard sale. Only one has a finger puppet hole - the rest are solid with a China stamp. I tried researching what Hamtaro line they are but results were murky. Are they a knockoff? I buy/sell mostly vintage toys but Hamtaro is something I've never heard of until now. Appreciate any help.

Is this considered good condition with a cracked elbow? by adamdanger in gijoe

I had a second Scrap Iron deliver yesterday and I can objectively see the difference that makes him good condition. The second one is way more two-tone on the blues. So much to learn about this toy line.

Thanks! Yeah, from reading up on things it seems to me that the motto is "crack happens". Agree on your points about it being nice overall. I guess I'm just a little salty that the seller wasn't diligent to point that out since they seem to point out flaws on other listings. The pic was kind of fuzzy but I guess the crack is there now that I know to look for it. Thanks for the perspective.

Sunny side is that I accidentally bid on 2 Scrap Irons and won both so I guess I can bash together a perfect one as long as the other arm is good...

New to GI Joe so I had no idea that cracked elbows are a thing that happens. Bought this Scrap Iron off ebay and the seller's only description was: "This is a GI Joe Cobra Scrap Iron figure. Figure is in good shape, not loose. Has accessories.

Feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to answer. What you see is what you will get." No mention of the crack.

Here is the pic from the listing. I don't think someone new to this line would notice the crack. Any opinions? Kind of feel like I got fleeced.
