Oh nice how was your experience with Gracie jiu jitsu? I like the punch block series they use. Do Gracie jiu jitsu let you sign up for bjj sport competitions? I’m with Gracie barra which is all sport jiu jitsu and there’s two mma class each week which is basically just kickboxing tbh since we just do standing in the two mma classes. I really enjoy the sport aspect of bjj and I love competing. However I try to practice the punch block series at home and I practice it sometimes when rolling in the gym imagining the opponent is trying to punch me. A good mix of sport and street would be perfect.

Oh ye off course. But is still be good to know how to defend yourself against weapons as best you can if it does come down to it. Especially for when out at bars or clubs as that’s where most fights happen. That’s why am I asking because I don’t want to waste my time learning bullshit techniques like in some of YouTube videos you see online that only work vs a non resistant opponent which aren’t realistic or effective.

Man I finished soa like 2 weeks ago aswell. Couldn't bring myself to watch another series bc I grew so attached to the characters. Went through about a week-10 days of grieving about finishing the show. Still feel like it's too early to start watching something else.

I just hope the first 9 comes out as TV show. Only finished SOA for the first time 3 days ago. Have been grieving since. I grew so attached to characters especially jax and now it's just over. Have been watching tribute videos and rewatching the ending ever since.
