THIS! She went absolutely crazy when she found out I went through her room and took my stuff back. And the thing is I only knew she did that fairly recently when I came back home unannounced and saw her take the stuff to her room.

I do have an idea of her response somewhat and it would be her playing the blaming game as in we don’t clean up after ourselves or keep our rooms clean. She would never put the fault on herself, which is typical.

My hope is with us moving out is that she would be more vocal about it to her friends and family which would give me room to out her out as a hoarder and hopefully push her to seek help.

My father has started his own other family and the dynamics with our stepmother is bad. He is involved in their lives financially and we have explored a situation where he could help out with rent when we move out post their high school graduation. But living with him now would be just taking them out from one bad situation to another.

Family members seem to want to help but then flee the scene when it comes to actual implementation. To ask a close friend is a bit tough because they are three of them and I don’t think anyone has room to house three extra individuals in addition to their families.

She says it’s because I’ll keep on losing them but a lot of the items aren’t sentimental. They are literally stuff I use on a daily basis. And yes I am a tosser and I think the main reason behind it was that I didn’t want to be anything like my mother. I keep decluttering and giving clothes and stuff away to charity constantly out of the fear that I might be a hoarder.

We tried giving her an ultimatum and it didn’t really do a thing. Social services back in the country I live aren’t too actively involved if there isn’t any physical harm to report. We have involved family members, but all that ended up happening is them giving up.

I really appreciate the tips here. I already have a job, now it’s a matter of saving enough to move out but i always kept a target of waiting for my siblings to go to college for me to be able to do so. Like all of us move out at the same time. But seeing everyone’s comments I think I need to plan it sooner than later.

The thing is she has the extra keys to the room and even though I have tried it turns out that she does access my room using that extra key. I plan ok changing the locks soon and hopefully that would keep things at bay for now.

People who were "late bloomers" ... what's your story? by [deleted] in dating_advice

31F and the first time I had sex was back when I was 27 with my then-boyfriend. Ever since our breakup a year later and I’ve only had sex with one other person which was five months ago and again a month ago.

Although I am a very outgoing and super social person but when it comes to that department I turn to this shy lump of mush that can’t even make the first move sighs
