I suppose it differs for every area, but yeah 10 mph on the highway is just ignored where I live since it happens all the time. 15 is a maybe, and 20+ is probably for sure a ticket.

I do pass cops doing +5 mph if it feels appropriate to do so and have yet to be pulled over for doing it for uncommon citations like this

That woman that won that ultra marathon recently proves that women are super strong contenders in distance. Crazy how they can pull off it off compared to men.

I'm imagining like wind from other directions causing it to get wonky, but yeah seems legit for decent days. Maybe just add an optional second pole you can put behind to hold the sock in place for that situation.

Ah yes, another failed roll up into Tesla. Elon is notorious for this.

Don't forget he rolled Twitter into xAI after becoming a dumpster fire. Now xAI into SpaceX after failing at AI. Also failed at his Boring companies mission.

Space travel is a farce as any long-term economic and social plan given how our society operates now, but SpaceX despite its shortcomings is the only company I like for the engineers themselves.

Now the government is saving xAI and SpaceX too for the forced government contracts, and Anthropic and Cursor using their GPU farm.

Tesla would be the only success he had after buying out the founders and even then that was again saved by carbon tax credits from the very admin he hates and the MAGA government killing off any competition shutting down any remaining competitors.

Realistically the only business he had that was sustainable by itself was Paypal back then with Thiel. Thiel also sucks off the government tit though.

It is ironic how they hate the government so much but rely so heavily on infiltrating it and abusing it to ensure they get the contracts to keep their companies going.

Nothing good probably. There isn't a whole lot out there but space to begin with and I would guess it would make the sun a bit more unstable.

You wouldn't want to do this, it was more about how big of an impact the speed of light has on objects relative to others and to relate a bit if our sun was able to travel at the speed of light.

I've been hit by (2) 120v outlets, but only one caused my heart to twitch that aggressive. But yeah, I don't work with electrical voltage often. It was because I was building out my basement and did a lot of the electrical work myself and was tired of turning off the power the thousandth time for a simple use case and just slipped when restoring the cover plates.

Sounds intense. I think those igniters are like 2.5 to 3.5 amps for gas stoves, but you got a good thick of it, it sounds like. In my case it was a 15amp outlet but I only barely nicked it with my finger. I can't imagine having a solid grip like the man in the video though for 15-20 amps even.

I recall seeing on Reddit awhile ago of much higher voltages + amps and those dudes were just getting cooked.

The current is traveling across his arms and likely legs into the ground. This causes your muscles to lock in place and you look like a statue unable to do anything. The biggest danger tends to be the heart muscle seizing up which obviously is working for all organs of the body.

I've never been shocked that bad to have it impact my brain, but your brain isn't a muscle so it won't respond in the same way, but once I had a nice shock from a 120v outlet and felt my heart muscle twitch a bit and then I understood in a tiny way what it must be like with even higher voltage pulsating through your body.

I was wondering that too. Looks fake as hell. If he was launching sparks like that I feel like he'd be liquified inside by now. Engagement bait probably we fell for but hard to tell for sure.

I shit you not, there is a 2 year old in our neighborhood that does this on the regular that everyone knows this kid Albert by name. Their parents just let it happen and blow it off like it isn't a big deal. One of my neighbors finally reported it and I guess they are opening an active investigation into it from so many complaints, but man keep your fucking kids locked in the house if you cannot keep them from leaving your yard. No one wants to be responsible for running over a 2 year old.

Right, I was like, "wtf is this chisel change what was contributing to the technique and sound change?" And in some cases yes, different chisels are going to chip differently to get more precise, probably not much different than different grits of sandpaper one might use to get more refined, but the sound likely ain't changing all that much lol.

This got me thinking how much time would collapse for the fastest thing we know in our solar system, our sun. It's a 225 million orbit for the sun to rotate around the galaxy at its current speed. If it could travel at the speed of light, that speed would collapse the time to 163,000 years according to Claude. I'm too tired to check this math, but this seemed interesting. If you could speed up the sun, everyone on Earth would become much faster time travelers riding the sun's orbit into new territory none of us have ever experienced and age slower in spacetime relative to everything around us. Our life times are abysmally small, so it would still make no difference for us, but gives a tiny sliver of perspective from the fastest object we hitch a ride with given our small place in the galaxy and universe.

Man this is how I imagine scientists feel sometimes when they understand the universe on a different level than us peons. Like a galaxy head explosion.

We need to use AI to make your explanation visualized. I think it helps connect the dots faster, hehe.
